Fleur De Lys

8 cottages, a quiet garden, a friendly owner and a very kind staff. Fleur de Lys has turned into a great choice.
During our stay customers were mainly German and French, no Italians no kids, no noise, only “whispering people”. The cottage is equipped with all you need in the kitchen, two comfortable beach chairs on the porch, a huge shower inside and another one in the garden.
Breakfast is served on the porch, after customers wake up and open the cottage door; that’s the signal to the staff that you are ready for fresh fruit, toasted bread with marmalade, pancakes and eggs, fresh fruit juice, coffee or tea as you like.
Bikes can be rented directly at the reception, where Mr. Dave is always at customer’s disposal.
We spent one week and we haven’t had enough, at our departure we decided that two weeks would have been better. A special thanks to Mr.Ron for the very pleasant chats.

Just returned from La Digue, where we stayed in this little, absolutely nice and quiet place. The bungalows are large and very clean, with a fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed. Service and staff are excellent. Defilnitely a good place to stay. My best compliments to Ron for this beautiful place.

I think price/value is very good for this location. The bungalows are quite large and very clean. Good place to chill out. Staff is friendly and helpful. The bikes are indeed cronky and old … but you'll hardly find better ones on La Digue ;-)

We stayed at Fleur De Lys on Honeymoon in October 2013 and were fairly underwhelmed by the accomodation. The bungalows are well equipped enough but there is little in way of "magic" about the place and the decor seemed tired and some fittings were in a state of disrepair. The breakfast was pleasant and the facility of hiring bikes was convenient. It's in a good location on a fairly small island. The lodgings were everything you'd need but nothing to write home about.

Room Tip: The bungalows are laid out in a semi circle around a shared garden. The facility is set away from ro...

We have just returned from our 2nd stay at the Fleur DE Leys and were there for 5 nights and have to say that we enjoyed it , but. I do think that charging extra ( £5.00 per night) for air conditioning is insulting as we are not back packers and also the £5.00 per day per cronky old bike ( £1825.00 per year ) is excessive as they ought to be complementary, the shower door as last year failed to contain the water and so you get a foot dip as you step out. With the amount of construction of self catering properties on the island I would expect all the owners to be reducing their prices in the coming years or face extinction and this should benefit the hard pressed and exploited traveller.

Room Tip: A few of the bungalows have just been refurbished so worth asking for 1 of these.

My husband and I stayed at Fleur de Lys for the first part of our honeymoon. What a pleasure it was to chill out there after the manic wedding period! The bungalows are large and spacious with everything you need to be self contained, and they are spotless too. The veranda is a great place to relax in the evenings with a drink. The location is also an asset - it is just on the outskirts of the town La Passe where there are a few restaurants, a supermarket and souvenir shops as well as the jetty for arriving and leaving the island. The staff Dave and Annie are friendly and helpful and the owner Ron made an effort to interact with guests. All in all I could not fault this accommodation at all and I would happily stay there again and recommend to anyone! Enjoy!!

Room Tip: Be sure to specify if you want an actual double bed as only 4 of the eight rooms have a double, the...

We were only able to stay here for 2 nights, as it was fully booked! The quaint, affordable, yet spacious bungalows are centered around a lush garden. The staff were helpful and friendly, had bikes for rent and gave us good suggestions of places to see on the island. The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from the jetty, but is not far if you don't have too much luggage. We had to ask locals for the location, as it is down a little lane and we missed it on the left and walked past. We really enjoyed our stay!
