We travelled to this wonderful resort in May with Seyexclusive - what a fantastic experience we had, truly a holiday of a lifetime.
The island is served from a private jetty about 10 minutes drive from the airport. Creole Travel Services organised our transfers and we had 10 minutes in a beautiful lounge waiting for our car. The departure area at the jetty was wonderful and the lovely ladies organised our luggage and room info. A short boat ride took us to the island.
We were met at the jetty and taken to reception to check in - our only gripe of the whole experience was that we arrived around 9 in the morning after travelling for almost 2hrs (manchester - Heathrow - Dubai - Mahe) and we were told we would have to wait for our room until 2pm. I was not exactly amused and several irate conversations later, our room was ready.
Although that was a small issue, the staff throughout the hotel were wonderful throughout our stay, nothing was too much for them and we have stayed in contact with the best barmen on the island - Gutam Oli - a credit to the resort and he missed some wonderful cocktails for us and his service was second to none.
Our villa was facing the giant tortoise enclosure and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the island on the room bikes !
The food is amazing - we had two wonderful nights at the Robinson Crusoe and Le Mont Fleuri and the buffet was excellent. We had upgraded to the All Inclusive package which was worth every penny and we enjoyed champagne and champagne cocktails in the evenings!
The beaches are beautiful but the water is very shallow so doesn't allow for snorkelling, however the hotel runs two complementary boat trip to a nearby reef every day and that was well worth doing - the school of HUGE batfish was amazon and we saw seahorses for the first time.
Creole Travel and the Seychelles Tourist Board organised a tour of Mahe for us - well worth a visit. we had a brilliant day and our driver was great company. we had lunch at the Chez Batista restaurant - a family were on the beach playing traditional games such as egg and spoon races. It gave us all a chance to cheer them on and it was a great lunch on a gorgeous beach.
we also island hopped for the day to Praslin and La Digue - the inter island cat is a fantastic oa services, quick, clean and on time. La Digue was amazing - rent your push bike, put your gear in the basket and off you go!! We would definitely go back to La Digue to stay. Praslin was very big but beautiful. Anze Lazio was beautiful and we had a very nice lunch at Bon Bon Plume - the thunderstorm knocked out the power so everyone had to improvise, great atmosphere and good fun!!
There are giant tortoises wherever you go and I fell in love !
We were only here for a week but it was the best time of our lives. I cannot thank Charles Kerrigan and his team enough at Seyexclusive for organising our holiday and trips and of course Creole Travel and the Seychelles Tourist Board were wonderful.
The people on the islands are what truly make your holiday here - they are soooo friendly - as you ride your bike everyone waves and shouts hello - why would anyone ever want to leave !?
Go, enjoy, live the dream !!

Sainte Ann wedding to remember

We stayed here for a couple of weeks at the end of March. Sainte Anne really is a beautiful resort. We opted for a pool villa which is more private than the garden villla. In hindsight however, we wished we hadn't paid extra for our own pool as it was so lovely and quiet on the beach, we hardly ever used our pool.

Stephanie and Kaycee were brilliant in organising the details for our wedding ceremony. I never felt anxious or stressed at any point during the day -even though it rained!

The villa was lovey and clean. The majority of staff were very helpful and friendly. It would have been nice if the menu at La Takamaka and Mont Fleuri were changed -they were the same for the 10 days we stayed there.

I'm not sure if it was the time of year we were there, but we weren't prepared for all the mosquitoes! I'd recommend packing strong insect repellant and you'll be fine :-).

We visited this resort to join a group of friends who were celebrating a birthday. The service wasn't particularly friendly, very few of the staff went out of their way to smile or make the trip a special experience.

The beaches have lovely fine sand and the water is clean; however your view is of a build up area of the main island. The accommodation is dated and the air conditioner had an unpleasant smell. All-in-all I think the resort was unimpressive, especially considering the price! I have read the favourable reviews on this site and they don't seem to represent what the place is like at all. I wouldn't recommend this resort if you are visiting the seychelles, I am pretty sure you can do a lot better for the price charged.

Room Tip: If you do decide to stay here is probably best to stay in the presidential villa, at least there you...

This is a five star resort and the only development on the island of St. Anne’s. It is well sculpted, well maintained and feels well integrated with the island. Our villa was almost perfect and felt secluded despite being in a row of similar villas. The outdoor shower and our covered seating area were both lovely. The bikes provided (with every villa) while slightly aging, proved very useful, and the resort is flat, apart from one small steep hill. The beaches are more than adequate for the size of the resort - although they are arguably not as spectacular as can be found elsewhere in the Seychelles. (One in particular had quite a lot of sea weed on it during our stay – but it added to the natural feel of the place for me).

The staff were all very friendly and efficient and they complemented the laid back atmosphere (it’s not the type of place where you will be regularly asked if you want drinks). Food in the main restaurant was delicious and fresh, making the most of the local cuisine. Some may find the variety limited given the local focus but personally I liked the fact they didn’t ship in excessively from far afield.

The free snorkelling trips offered were the absolute highlight for me – in the marine reserve just off the shore. There was an abundance of coral and fish and I saw huge ray fish and people we were with saw turtles. Although the resort is quite expensive, the fact they provide trips like this and free island transfers etc. makes it a lot more economical that it might at first seem. I would love to come back to Sainte Anne's one day....

We could not do anything other then return to this beautiful island for the second time in a year and once again loved the quiet, peaceful and relaxed atmosphere that the place offers. If it is unspoiled beaches you want and if you enjoy walking through tropical forest to get there, this is the place to experience it. During all our walks we bumped in to other people twice in 10 days. It is a unique experience coming from a city environment. This time the snorkelling was fantastic, whether by boat or from shore, we saw the largest variety of fish that we've ever seen anywhere and spent many hours in the lovely 29 degree water.

We were given a fantastic villa within 15 meters of the ocean, a private beach, private pool, club car and more space then we could ever need on a holiday.
We noticed that the resort has upgraded its boats and Gym facilities since our last visit.

A number of the staff still remembered us from our previous visit which ads a little personal touch to the friendly service.

The sundown cocktails were simply delicious and a marvellous way to sit down in the warm early evening before dinner.

Everything was well arranged and slick from the 20 minute airport transfer, by taxi and boat till sitting down with our first glass of Champagne on arrival, and the same can be said for our very early morning departure.

This was our 2nd visit to Sainte Anne Island and the 1st time with our young daughter. The island is just stunning and perfect for a relaxing family holiday. What makes this hotel so special is the wonderful attentive staff, they cannot do enough for you. On our first visit we stayed half board but this time we took the all inclusive package which is much easier and pretty much everything is included in the all inclusive package including some nice little touches such as a fully stocked mini bar! We had a tropical villa which was perfectly located close to the beach and main reception however even when the hotel was full it was always so quiet and peaceful that you often felt you were the only ones there.
