I am from this area and wanted to stay somewhere different from the normal. What a great B&B! Loved the charm and the accommodation's were perfect. Whatever you needed they had or they would get for you. I am staying there every time I visit my home town. Great location to Lake George, Saratoga.

Stayed here because could not get a room in Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls is an easy 20 minute drive -- but I'm not faulting the city. This inn looks tired from the outside and in need of some attention. The good news: The inside is clean but worn. There is free wifi.
The owners were entirely absent for our one-night stay although there was a friendly and helpful person available, albeit intermittently. The inn has a generous help-yourself openness to the kitchen and contents, which included lots of fresh fruit in the fridge.
The bad news: The mattress was soft and indented to the center; the shower was an unpleasant trickle; the amenities were two bars of soap and a single bottle of shampoo; there was no place in the bathroom other than the floor or the back of the toilet to put down a kit; and the breakfast was a help-yourself affair with supermarket muffins and plastic wrapped bread, Kuerig coffee (nothing brewed), and generic cereals. But there was a good selection of supermarket fruit in the fridge (wash and prepare yourself of course), bananas and cereal bars. Overall it was slightly depressing and we left as quickly as possible.

The omelettes and the bed at this B&B were stellar. Otherwise it was clean, and well located within easy walking to a wonderfully revitalised downtown area with a range of good restaurants. Generally, the fixtures were quite "tired".

Feels like home. Has a variety of rooms. We stayed in the smallest one but were quite comfortable .There are several places in the common rooms that are very suited for quiet reading or conversation. The inn is a short walk to the center of town.

The location and hosts were wonderful! The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. It is a short, easy walk to the downtown area. Breakfast was delicious and the company was very enjoyable ! We would definitely stay again if ever in the area!

My husband and i were spending a few days at Saratoga race track and I wanted to try a B&B. We were both delighted with our choice. We were greeted upon arrival, shown our room and told to make ourselves at home. We ended up on the front porch, on the wicker, enjoying a glass of wine. Our room was perfect, comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was delcious and I loved sitting at the dining room table and chatting with the other guests. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in t he Saratoga room but peeked into several of the others. They all looked nice. Each h...

We spent one night at this B & B, and that was more than enough. The inn is in a big old Victorian house, renovated to genteel shabbiness and definitely needing some touching up. There are big downstairs rooms that guests can use, including a piano. When we arrived to check in, no one was there, but a sign at the desk told us to phone Denise. She came down and showed us the downstairs and our room, and asked if we wanted her to make a dinner reservation for us. The inn has central air conditioning and it was quite chilly, so she said we could turn on the heat if it got too cold. (Do these people know about energy conservation?) That was the last we saw of any hosts until the next morning.
We stayed in the Adirondack room, which had cute woodsy decor but numerous problems. On the positive side, the bed was quite good. The lighting was terrible, making it hard to read or use a computer. The bathroom door, which squeaked loudly, didn't close properly. Someone had installed a hook and eye, but the eye was missing, so the door just didn't close all the way, and in a small room with the door right next to the bed, this left little privacy. Towels were skimpy and not of good quality. For the 2 of us, we got 1 washcloth, 1 face towel and 2 bath towels. Toiletries were not very good quality---one of those conditioning shampoos. When we did eventually need to turn on the heat (while it was 80 degrees outside!), the knob was missing from the heat dial, so there was only a shaft and we couldn't adjust it accurately. Then the people in the next room returned and we could hear everything they said. They confirmed when we met them that they could hear us too. Fortunately, none of us stayed up too late or got up too early.
OK, on to breakfast. There were 6 people staying at the inn. We came downstairs and found a fruit plate with one banana and one orange. Breakfast consisted of juice, overly sweetened yogurt with a few berries, 2 small blueberry pancakes with crappy syrup (this is the Adirondacks, guys---you should be serving Maple Syrup!) and sausage for those who wanted it (we don't eat meat). We left feeling hungry and ripped off.

Room Tip: Stay away from the Adirondack & Saratoga rooms, unless you want to feel like you're sharing...
