Stayed here for few nights on a business trip. Awesome room overlooking river Thames. The service was good and prompt. Good connections and conveniently located near Heathrow. Nice restaurant to sit few meters from the river.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with river view

Lovely hotel, we had a balcony overlooking the river, which was quite charming. Unfortunately the serving staff appear to have been trained at a fast food burger chain. The bar was lovely, with an excellent range, but being called 'buddy' by a barman younger than my children does not inspire me. A pity, because it is nearly very good.

You will not go wrong by booking into The Swan.

My husband and his work colleagues booked to stay in a Superior Double room from 16th - 18th August. Their rooms were beautiful, light and clean, with a wide range of teas and coffees in the room.

The staff at The Swan were extremely attentive too, as the men were leaving before breakfast, the staff brought a choice of breakfasts to their room prior to them leaving.

Brilliant service, attentive staff, excellent hotel and highly recommended.

I had dinner at The Swan whilst working in Staines. If you are looking for traditional pub grub it will not let you down. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is on the river so the setting is excellent, especially during summer. To sum up it is a good traditional pub.

we stayed at the Swan just for one night, we found everything to be really pleasant. the setting is lovely, right on the Thames with lovely views. our room was clean and comfy, a little balcony with a table and chairs was nice. there was a hairdryer an iron and board and tea and coffee, bottled water and plenty of toiletries. We had our evening meal there and sat outside, there are plenty of tables and chairs and a non smoking area too. the food was good although we did wait about 40minutes. Our breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We would stay again if we were in that area again.

Room Tip: room 2 has a view over the river

Definitely one of the best Hotels we have ever been! We were given an overnight stay at The Swan as a wedding gift from my Mother in Law. We love the room even though it was not on the side where the river is. We love the classy design of our room and the bed was one of the most comfortable bed we ever had in a hotel or B&B. The only downside in our room was the toilet, although it was spacious enough and look classy as well, when you flush the toilet, it sounds like a ship's horn booming through! But that aside, we still loved out stay!

The Swan is also nicely located with different restaurants and pubs within walking distances so you have the option of using their own pub/restaurant or have a walk through town. You can easily find Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Korean restaurants near the area. (these are the ones I'm sure of)

The best part was the breakfast next day. We were quite early and the first ones in the restaurant so we had a good choice of table overlooking the river. There was a table full of fruits and cereals selection and a surprisingly huge selection of jams and spreads, all in cute little individual sealed pots. Our orders were taken and freshly baked croissants were served. You have a choice of either a plain one and almond croissant and they were huge as well!!! Not to mention they were to die for as they were really tasty! Even my other half was very satisfied with his vegetarian breakfast option. With the breakfast alone, The Swan deserves 5+ stars!

It is definitely a highly recommended place!

Room Tip: Book early so you can have a better choice of rooms.

I grew up in the area and used the Swan regularly, mainly drinking with friends and occasionally eating the usual basket meals which were so popular back then.
Even though the menu was interesting the food didn't really live up to expectations and the fish pie that my cousin ordered looked like a meat pie as it was in pastry, which we all thought was strange, I don't think my cousin was very impressed as she left half of it.
The service wasn't overly friendly or very efficient.
The beer was OK but not as good as the Fullers pubs in central London.
The location by the river is still as good as I remembered especially as the opposite bank is much improved. I'd say it's still a good venue for meeting friends for a drink but I won't be rushing back for a meal.
