We had a family party over the weekend here and it was terrific. The rooms are cosy and warm and have a great view over the river if you're on that side of the hotel. The breakfast in the morning was more than enough to set us up for the day with warm and friendly service. At dinner we had a table of 12 for our party and the staff were amazing. The food was fantastic and the staff made it a real laugh for us all. They were attentive and friendly all evening.
The location was ideal although parking a little tricky if you arrive during the day. Would highly recommend a visit here.

Room Tip: Choose the river side view with balcony for the best view in the morning.

Stayed yesterday and the previous Thursday on business.

The title of my review says it all, and the food was good too!

A special mention for Judy who managed to get me a balcony room at late notice - they can't do enough for you here!

Thank you for two lovely stays hope to be back soon.

We booked a table for lunch for my fathers 88th birthday. It was also Mothers Day so we wondered if we might have a problem. Not at all - we had a lovely decorated table for the 5 of us. From the moment we arrived the staff were very polite and helpful. There was a set menu with choices to suit all. Also a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and birthday cake and a card!! The food and service were good and we weren't pressurised at the end of the meal although the table was booked for another customer. An added bonus was a magician who was making balloon animals and performing sleight of hand tricks. All in all it was a splendid family celebration in a lovely riverside setting and I'd recommend the Swan to anyone.

Visited for lunch with our son. The welcome was very friendly and genuine. The bar is dog friendly, and before we ordered any drinks, we where asked did we want any water for our dog. The menu had an excellent selection of freshly prepared dishes. Our meals were well presented and very tasty. Considering the location, our lunch was no more expensive than we would have paid back in Norfolk. The staff were friendly especially Sian. We are looking forward to visiting again, next time we are in Staines

Have drunk at The Swan many times when I lived in Staines and the range of Fullers beer always did for me !!
Now we live up north we stay when we are in these parts and still love the beer, the breakfasts are great and the food good too.
Rooms are adequate, not better than that but also not worse than that and whether sunny, rainy or even with the Thames still in flood it is a great location.

Room Tip: Go for room 11 always, just NOT when we want it please !!!!!!

This is a lovely hotel overlooking the Thames. We had dinner and breakfast in the downstairs restaurant, and both meals were excellent. Service is top notch with friendly, attentive staff, while there is an excellent variety in both dinner and breakfast menus.

Our room was very comfortable. Part of the charm of older places like this are the floors and walls are not what one would call "square and level", (laser levels were a little hard to come by in the 1600's). But crooked floors and walls just add to the character. Anyway, the bed was very comfortable and our room had been updated so it had all the amenities. The atmosphere was relaxed and we will definitely stay here again. My only quibble is a place with this much history needs a resident ghost.

Had a really nice stay here. River location is beautiful and it's a short walk into the town centre. Room lovely and comfortable bed. Staff v helpful. Good breakfast. Would recommend. So much nicer than staying in an impersonal travelodge.
