We visited the Beach House because of its positive reviews re the fish fry - a western New York institution. While the fish itself was perfectly prepared and excellent, there is more to a fish fry than fish, and more to a restaurant review than just the fish fry. The beer and wine selections are low end. The soup was mainly an overly flour-thickened white base with little else. The shrimp and scallops appeared to come pre-breaded from a freezer bag - if they didn't, then there was no imagination in their preparation. The scallops had a negative "fishy" taste. Service was very friendly and attentive, and if you want an average meal at reasonable cost, this may fill the bill. If you want a bit more, you can do better elsewhere.
