Absolutely loved the B&B. It's walking distance to the water, shopping, and great restaurants. Donna is full of energy, all smiles, and loves to please her guests. She is a fantastic cook, has the B&B decorated beautifully, and her rooms are cozy and romantic. We'll definitely be back.

I surprised my now fiancée with a weekend in Greenport and we stayed at Ruby's Cove. The house was amazing and we stayed in the Madeline room which was excellent. Donna, the owner, was such a nice, welcoming host. We immediately felt at home as soon as we entered the place. She cooks an amazing breakfast, best I've ever had and everything is fresh and delicious!! She even helped with the planning of my engagement, for example, Donna was kind enough to put some champagne on ice with fresh cut flowers in our room so when we got back after the proposal we could toast and celebrate in our room together. It was honestly the best weekend of our lives, not just because we got engaged, but because of Donna and the town of Greenport.

The location is perfect, it's right on the corner of Main Street, right next to a brand new BREWERY, which has fantastic beers by the way. The water is right there; all the bars, shops and restaurants are steps away. Also, Donna provides her guests with bikes!! You can take a ride to the beach or hop on the ferry over to Shelter Island. So much to do and Ruby’s Cove is the best place to stay. This place is perfect in every way. We’re definitely coming back.

We just returned from a Labor Day long weekend in the North Fork. I feel compelled to comment on Ruby's Cove B&B as it was an absolutely wonderful experience. We've stayed at other high quality B&Bs before so we have a good frame of reference. This tops them all. The high points of Ruby's Cove include the lovely house with multiple sitting areas and wraparound porch, the availability of bikes (which are perfect for exploring the area), the location, the comfy beds (no kings though), the good sound isolation in the rooms and the immaculate state of the place. The greatest high point, however, is Donna, the owner. She covers all the bases to make your stay the best ever. Breakfast is a feast that goes on and on. For example, yesterday we had fresh fruit. homemade hot banana bread and carrot cake with an assortment of local jams, bagels, lox and all the accoutrments, two kinds of egg dishes, chicken sausages, fried potatoes, fresh juices and coffee. Later in the day, cheesecake and other snacks were out. Every day was a variation of this. Donna also wanted to give us a goody bag for the trip home. She encouraged us to make the most of our day, after checkout, by continuing to use her bicycles to go to the local beaches and around town. She is a fantastic hostess that goes to extremes to help you enjoy yourself. Top notch!!!!!!
About Greenport, the shops are quaint with much friendlier prices than Southampton. Suggestions include a tour of Bedell Vineyards - 3 hours ending with a wine tasting that is to die for. Loads of wine and delicious cheeses, breads, meats, nuts etc... North fork Table is a very good restaurant. None of the others are to write home about though. Jedediah Hawkins Inn restaurant is beautiful, but the food was just okay. Shelter Island is worth a bike ride around - the ferry is fun and quick.
You will not be disappointed in this vacation - I guarantee.

We were the first official visitors to Ruby's Cove. It was so exciting to share in Donna's enthusiasm as she began her new adventure as the keeper of the Cove. She provided us with bikes, and gave us great tips about what to see and where to eat. A special jewel she shared with us was the world's most beautiful beach, tucked away at the edge of a nearby neighborhood. We look forward to visiting Ruby's Cove again, and will always think of Donna as a special friend.

For our honeymoon, my wife and I stayed at Ruby's Cove. We had stayed at this B&B under its previous owners two years ago when it was called the Victorian Lady. Since we loved the location -- right in the middle of Greenport, meaning it was easy to walk to the different restaurants, bars and shops on Front St. without having to drive or rely on car service. And when I spoke with Donna, the cove's keeper, I instantly trusted her and knew we would have a fantastic time. I cannot emphasize enough how incredibly sweet, fun and generous she is. She really has improved on a place that was already something incredible. Under Donna's excellent aesthetic eye, this 100-year-old house feels very youthful and alive.

The rooms were so perfectly comfortable, we didn't want to leave! But Donna's 10-star breakfasts made it more than worthwhile. After just one day in Greenport, we could barely eat anything else, but Donna's food was irresistible. She can turn a basic omelette into the meal of your life. I not only would recommend Ruby's Cove to everyone I know, but we hope to stay here as often as possible! (We plan to book something soon for the fall!)

We had a wonderful time at Ruby's Cove, because of the warm, homey atmosphere, the proximity to all things fun (beach, town, restaurants) and the "keeper of the Cove," who ensured that our stay was perfect. Donna's enthusiasm and vivacious personality not only made us feel at home but also made it feel like we were visiting a friend. We highly recommend staying here!
