Waterstone Inn

A relaxing week in a six week around the world holiday. The Mulcahy family are special people who enjoy sharing their home with guests; and are devoted to the community. The Inn was conveniently located, quiet, spotless, the rooms large and the home-cooked breakfasts by Lisa and Tara excellent. We could not ask for more. A special place owned and run by special people. Thank you Dennis, Miriam, Tara and Lisa for making us welcome.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are quiet.

Just got back from Waterstone with some girlfriends. The Inn was immaculate. Rooms were so big and beautiful! The Mulcahy's were amazing. Tara was the most wonderful host. We really enjoyed just hanging on the porch with wine and a beautiful view. Would absolutely come again.

wow! It keeps getting better and better.I had a happy tear to my eye, I opened the door to the most beutiful room. There were 16 roses and a card that said happy birthday ...who does that, ( good people do ) !

there was a hurricane brewing . there was no where safer and cleaner to be. I can not tell you how much we love it ..There are alot to do in the town, they have a board that even tells what there is to do.. Me I just want to be on or look at the lake from the deck. I do not have a cell that i can share pictures.. go to there facebook page, they have added some pretty pics. to the Mulcahy family. THANK YOU !!!
See you again,

The rooms are super clean and spacious.
Kayak, canoe, row boat are at your disposal to use on the lake. Free pass to the beach too. Or you can hike at Sterling Lake or Harriman State Park.
In the evening, you may want to catch a movie at the drive-in in Warwick, which is only a 15-minute drive.
Many more things to explore in the region.
Oh! i alost forgot to mention the breakfast. Cooked to order by Lisa, the unassuming chef and innkeeper. Truly delicious. Spinach and goat cheese frittata, or zuchinni quiche are a couple of the specials offered in addition to the traditional breakfast menu.
A friendly, homey atmosphere to top it off!

I wanted to surprise my wife for her 30th birthday, and after much web surfing found The Waterstone Inn. The location was an easy drive from NYC, and very scenic roads. Lisa Mulcahy was both friendly and professional in setting up the weekend, and went way above and beyond by arranging to have a nice bottle of champagne and wonderful cheese plate waiting for us when we arrived! The house and room was clean and comfortable, and the homemade breakfast made to order each day was amazing! The view of the lake was nice, and we were able to walk to a restaurant for a nice dinner...but the downtown area with other bars and dining was too far too walk at night, so planning for responsible consumption of alcohol is a must.
