“Great wines and a good time”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

Stopped here for a tasting, and had a great time, and enjoyed the wines. First off they offer the tasting for free, which is fabulous. They have a wide selection of wines, both in taste, style, and price, so there really is something for everyone. Our server was great too, very friendly and informative, and he just kept on pouring for us. Also the views are great as well. It's definitely worth a stop on the wine trail, if you are in the area.

“Spectacular views! Wine's good too!”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

We made a trip from our home in Northern Virginia, which is quickly becoming a player in wine regions. We were excited to taste wines from the Finger Lake region and Dr Frank's was our first stop. We were really impressed with the spectacular views from the tasting deck!

There is no fee to taste and Allyn, our pourer was very knowledgeable and friendly. These were the first wines from the Finger Lakes we had ever tasted and we were impressed. The soil and climate, as well as the grapes they grow, make them distinctly different from what we have in Loudoun County, Va. We found the Dry Riesling and Semi Dry Riesling to be particularly good. We bought a bottle of each. We would've bought more, but this was also a motorcycle trip for us, so space was limited.

Dr Frank's set the bar pretty high, but it was a great start to our wine tasting adventure. For the record, my wife did the sipping and swallowing...I sipped, then spit.

“Great experience with wine tasting”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

No charge for wine tastings, and instead of a fixed selection of wines, the host took the time to find out about our preferences and poured samples until we identified several favorites. The winery is a little bit out of the way, and does not have the good views available at Heron Hill or Bully Hill, but we were very glad we stopped here, because of the friendly, personalized service.

“Excellent wine and service”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

George met us when we walked up to the front deck. He took us in and explained how he handles his wine tastings, which by the way there was no charge for. While he got started, a few more couples joined us. George was very attentive and offered "extra" samples.

By the time we were done, we had ordered a case of wine, an annual membership to their wine club and a couple of other minor purchases. After visiting several other wineries and vineyards that charged for their tastings and only give small samples, this was a pleasant change.

They had some very good wines, had a good time talking with their staff, and enjoyed our short time with them.

Ask for George! He walked us through at least 8 wines each, no tasting fee & we walked away with a wine club membership & case of wine valued at over $600! Dr Frank's wines have always impressed me so stop here for great wines & experience.
