Very clean, nice firm mattress, good value. Ask for a room with an operable window. We had to sleep with fan or A/C on all night because windows could not open. A screen on the entry door would have been able to capture a nice breeze coming off the lake. Loved the gazebo by the lake, with ducks, boats, and people to watch.

We have been coming to this inn for twenty- six years. It was then the Hammondsport Motel and this is the third new proprietor. It has gone from rustic to modern and undergone not only a name change but a complete makeover. Bright cheery rooms, new gazebo and great facilities for those who love to fish. Ron is the perfect host, he is a native of Bath and so knows the area like the back of his hand. Returning to Hammondsport is like returning home, we bring along our friends and they too fall in love with this village where everything just keeps getting better! One thing I'd have liked access to was an iron in my room, but without it I learned to live with the wrinkled look.

Room Tip: Lakefront rooms allow you to watch the water traffic, boat launches, duck patrols & kids jumping off the pier. The sun rises behind the hills and slants across the lake producing magic mornings.

My husband and I and our two teenage children recently spent the weekend at this inn. It is reminiscent of a 1960's style motel. However, the rooms have been recently updated and have all the conveniences of a new accommodation. The room was comfortable and clean. The inn is situated directly by the lake and offers beautiful views. Ron, the owner is very helpful and eager to make recommendations. We rented a ski boat that was delivered to the dock and enjoyed a perfect day on the lake, complete with a picnic lunch purchased from a local bakery. The inn is conveniently located within a short walk to excellent restaurants and shops. My daughter left a book in the room upon our departure and when we got home, it had been mailed to her! It's nice to know this type of hospitality still exists.

This property was completely remodeled and we were thrilled with the changes. Our stay was clean, cozy, refreshing and informative. Ron, the owner, makes it his mission to welcome you, ask for feedback, recommend things to do, see and eat and he makes you feel at home.

The local town square is a 5 minute walk and it has many shops and restaurants. Union Block Bistro is outstanding and the Village Tavern has the best fish fry (try the hand breaded) I have ever had. The lunch at Bully Hill is not to be missed (Portobella cap topped with a crabcake and scallops = amazing).

We did not experience any sound issues; perhaps our neighbors were very quiet!

We can't wait to come back!

Room Tip: Queen rooms do not face the lake. Double bed rooms do.

We stayed here over the Canadian May 2-4 weekend as we planned to cycle around Keuka Lake. The room was updated and clean. One thing the website does not mention is there is a hair blower in the room. I packed one as I was not sure there would be one in this type of accommodation. I suggested to the owner that he add this information to the website.

I agree with the comment about soundproofing. We were lucky that our neighbours were fairly quiet but you could hear every sound in the adjacent rooms and outside the window.

By default (late booking) we had a room with 2 double beds. Hence a lake view. It was nice to see the lake from inside the room but we sat out on the motel lawn near the lake to sip our reward(s) after the ride. The best view of the lake is from the motel lawn near the gazebo.

Ron, the owner, was very friendly. There is a pleasant 5 minute walk into the town to the various restaurants.
