We totally loved our first B&B experience. Marc and Deb could not have been more gracious hosts and the food was as creative as it was tasty. What a beautiful historic setting for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved sitting by the fire at night with other guests and having a lively conversation, although mixing with other guests is entirely optional and there is plenty of room to enjoy the house's many common areas in privacy as well.

This is a lovely place to stay if you're staying in the Finger Lakes area. Marc and Deb are wonderful hosts. They have done an amazing job renovating this historic octagon house. Rooms are nicely furnished and very nice common spaces as well. Beds are very comfortable. Loved having a morning cup of coffee in the common space on the second floor with the light streaming in from the cupola above, I would definitely stay here again.

I have recently stayed twice at Marc and Debbie's while on business in the Finger Lakes. Having worked in the past for a company that affiliated with multiple bed and breakfasts in Vermont, I can honestly stay that their bed and breakfast is the equal of any I have stayed at previously. Meticulous and comfortable, quiet, charming, and great breakfasts. And with such a calm and cozy atmosphere, you feel so at home that you almost feel guilty being attended to by the proprietors.

Room Tip: Multiple bed size options allow for appropriate room choice and value pricing. Upstairs is very quie...

We absolutely loved our trip. We had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before and were a little hesitant due to the "closeness" of other guests. However, we found this was an unnecessary fear. You can be as social or unsocial as you wish to be and no one pressures you otherwise. The breakfasts were outstanding, the conversations lovely, the relaxation calming. Debbie and Marc are great. They were very helpful in helping us plan our days.We can't wait to go back!

Marc and Debbie were excellent hosts this past weekend -- the original home they have renovated has completely been transformed into a welcoming and warm abode. After a peaceful tour of the unique octagonal structure, we left for dinner and quickly came home to spend the evening watching the snow fall through our second floor window. Awaking to a fresh blanket of snow, we showered and the fresh smell of lavender castile soap filled the air as we went down to breakfast. The food top notch --Debbie's humbleness in her culinary expertise shines through the course; my favorite being the organic granola raisin scone with lemon curd.
Being a local, it touches my heart when I encounter people following their life passion, especially when their impact touches my community in a positive form. Thank you both for the experience. See you soon!

The owners, Debbie & Marc, are very personable and love to share stories and laughs with their guests, but are content to leave you to yourselves if you wish. The inn is very well maintained with many newer but still era-relevant hardware/ fixtures. This is a great place to stay whether you're looking for a place near the wineries or just a place to get away for a couple days.

Our family stayed at the Black Sheep in just after Thanksgiving and Debbie and Marc really let us settle into their inn for 2 days! We spent the evenings hanging out in the beautiful common rooms and found the breakfasts both innovative and delicious! We had our 2 teenage boys with us and Debbie and Marc planned out a wonderful driving route complete with shopping, wine tasting and site seeing. Our older son was in the midst of writing college applications (to study architecture) and was really impressed with the history and wonderful restoration of the octagonal house. We look forward to returning in the future!
