A great place to chill and take in the fun of this busy area. Despite the change of ownership and Indian Chef the food remains good quality and value for money.

Service can be a little slow however, so be prepared to wait.

We loved the food here, especially their tandoor oven dishes and the seafood portions. Usually we have lamb or chicken in Indian restaurants, but here fish and prawn dishes were excellent, too. Service is a little slow, but it seemed to be in all restaurants in Gambia. Have your aperitif and be prepared to wait for about one hour for the food to come. At least our 5 person family waited every time so long, but we did not mind as we went early. The restaurant was nearly packed every evening.

Gambian restaurants are slowly introducing genuine veggie options to their menus. The Tandoor is leading the way. A page of enticing options is included. No wonder the place is generally packed with diners. The rest of you Gambian restaurateurs who provide tasty and healthy food take note please.

We visited Tandoor on 2 occasions while we were in Gambia and on both occasions, the food and service was first class. Would recommend to everyone who enjoys Indian cuisine.

We have visited the gambia many times over the last 21 years, for the last 8 years this is always our first stop. It never fails to disappoint. The lamb dishes are excellent, the nana breads are amazing. The staff welcome everyone with the gambia smile. We have been to other more well known indian restaurants here but are not worth paying more for,the restaurants might be publisher but we feel the food is not a patch on this. Some people have to remember this is the gambia. You must put this on your to visit list. Eat whilst watching the atmosphere of moth craft market.
