I stayed with my girlfriend here as the last part of our trip to Madagascar. We had intended for this to be our bit of luxury after staying in cheaper accommodations for the rest of the trip.

I think the problem was that the other places we stayed in (Nosy Lodge, now called Sunset hotel) for example, were so amazing for the price(60 euros pa night) that we felt it wasn't worth the extra cost to stay here.

On the good side the pool is great, and it's very picturesque on the beach. The food I didn't think was great, although it wasn't terrible by any means, however, again, we had eaten so well for practically no money for the rest of the trip that it didn't feel special. Also the price of the excursions is crazy expensive, including a taxi into the local town. The excursion to Tani Kelli, which is great for snorkelling, was five times the price the local excursion companies would charge, and included a 10 euro supplement to be supervised if you wanted to snorkel! Crazy

The resort clearly wants its guests to stay on resort and do everything through them, which is fine in a way, however it's much less fun than going out to explore by yourself. A taxi into town can be organised through the hotel for an extortionate 52 euros return, however by walking out of the hotel to the main road we organised a return trip for about 15 euros.

The rooms were also again, not really very modern, compared to the traditional styled wooden beautiful furnished places at the other places we stayed.

Also we had massive issues with getting onto the Wifi which only worked intermittently for the last couple of days of our stay, while in the meantime I had paid a small fortune accessing the internet on my mobile phone to answer urgent work emails.

The staff we friendly enough and I have nothing really to say that's truly negative about this resort, however I think travellers an have a much more more luxurious, rewarding and cheaper experience in Nosy Be by booking good smaller hotels and eating at recommended local restaurants.

Room Tip: Away from the evening entertainment!

Fantastic place, excellent beaches and superb service. Mainly Italyan clients. For English speaking people ... ask for Laura. She is brilliant persoon and will be able to arrange everything in the hotel for you.

andilana beach is really what I called a paradise. The only one I ve seen in my life. the resort has very very big beach. Rooms are good, maybe a bit old but still good and clean.
Foods are good.
The show on weekend are a must. The nightclub is very nice. Sincerely nothing to complain. All the staff is very sympathic and helpful every time.
Really really loved my trip there

I remember it is long time ago, when we lived on Madagascar, and our first holidays there took us to Andilana Beach and the Hotel with the same name. We where with our first born son, who was only around 1 year old. It was fantastic to be on such a paradise island with a good and clean hotel and beach. The sand so clean, the water so clear, it was a pleasure for all of us.
There are some natural forests and rivers around which make it even more adventurous testay. To listen to the oceans´s sounds at night from the hotelbed was a fantastic impression for me.We had good food there in Andilana Beach Hotel and nice and lovely service.
For us as a young family it was a great stay, for me as a biologist it was really worth to see the ocean´s creatures and vegetation of the surrounding of the beach.

Room Tip: Rooms on the seaside are best.

Wonderful resort - clean - good food and drinks - white sand - clean beach - caraibic sea - fantastic to swim in the azure and transparent water - marea was not a problem. You can do romantic walk on the beach and see a magnific sunset from your sunbeds or drinking tea at the pool bar. Reception is helpful and very polite - full of possibility of excursions by boat or by land and not expensive. we did two excursions (one whale watching and one at Nosy Iranja) - we saw whales in both excursions - Unfortunately we had only one week left from our wonderful tour of Madagascar , to spend there. The room was sea front - clean and comfortable. For lunch you have two possibilities : main restaurant or Pily Pily - few stairs and you have your lunch with a wonderful landscape - we saw two whales while having our lunch. We really could finish our full month holiday in Madascar in the best way in this romantinc place.

Room Tip: Our room was n. 204 - sea front - ground floor with two big separate beds - clean and spacious. A bi...

My wife and I stayed in Hotel Andilana Beach in November, last year. We didn't intend to stay there but after a bad experience at another hotel, we moved to this hotel.
The impression was the best possible, starting at front-desk. I imagine we paid more than the person who books in advance, but comparing to what we paid a few days later in Reunion Island for a basic B&B, Hotel Andilana was not overpriced at all, specially considering the all-inclusive basis.
The staff is nice. You can easily see who's local and who works for the italian tour operator that fills the place, but they're all nice.
The room was comfortable and well located in the relax part of the resort. The AC is priceless considering how hot it gets in Nosy Be.
Of course, what other people have mentioned about this being a resort specially designed for the italian guests, is true, but for us that was not a problem, the italians are a happy bunch and everybody was still very friendly after finding out you're not part of the villagi bravo group.
The food was great, and the restaurant they have up a small hill on the waterline has an amazing view. Great place to purpose to your significant other ;)
All in all we don't have a bad thing to say about the place (except for the price they charge you for internet access) and had we known then what we know now we would have booked this hotel in the first place and planned our excursions from there.

Room Tip: There's a relax area and an entertainment area. You choose one or the other according to your pr...
