“Bit of paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

The resort is located on a peaceful, quiet part of the beautiful island Nosy Be and has its own beach. The bungalows are very spacious and comfortable. The bed is in the middle of an enormous room and looks out over sea. There is a separate living room in the bungalow and outside are a table with 4 chairs and 2 lounge beds. Each bungalow has its own garden with coconut palmtrees and flowers. There is a wide choice of fine meals and drinks in the open restaurant. The swmimming pool looks great but we preferred the sea.
The hosts Monique and Philippe are excellent, they do everything to make you feel at home.
This is the perfect place to relax after a visit on mainland Madagascar.

Room Tip: The bungalows directly facing the beach are the nicest.

Nice bungalows and the hospitality is more than great, Nice and quite location no salesmans selling sunglasses on the beach:-). Intresting sorrundings close to the resort and also well arranged trips to other places on Nossy Bee.
Overall a positive experiation, this was our first time to Madagascar and Nossy Bee
Air Madagascar...called Air Maybe, sometimes they have a bit difficult to decide when and where they will fly, so please check frequently on the internet for changes.

Try to get a Bungalow closest to the sea, nice to hear the vawes during night time.
Me and My boyfriend had à very romantic time.

We spent the first two weeks of our honeywoon at Anjiamarango. If you are looking for your own private cabin at the beach, don't look further, this is the place to be! It is really peaceful and quiet, but if you would like some action just rent one of the motorcycles, not expensive, and explore the island. We can also recommend the tours to the islands around. For us Anjiamarango was the perfect combination! Janou & Nico

We have just returned from an 11 day stay over at Anjiamarango. What the other reviews say about it being peaceful, the food of excellent quality and the owners being very helpful is all true.
However, it is not of 3 star quality and let me tell you why. There are air-cons is the rooms but NO remote and it is unbearably hot at night, so you cannot sleep, not even a fan, and if there was it would not help as they turn off the generator at 10.30pm. At night you hear ghekos, which I can live with but on our last night we heard rats. The infinity pool is lovely but full of mafookas (sand flies) I took spray, but it does not help at all. Their bites are multiple and they itch like crazy. It got so bad that at the end we did not want to swim. There is no coffee machine in the rooms, or hairdryers. These are basic things that I expect from a 3 star.
The hotel is far from town etc which makes all the excursions very expensive.

It's not acceptable to read your reviews and the damage you leave us in an opinion that is not representative of our structure and our service .....
You were a client of agency ….. and the agency has not done its job and forget to tell you about the features of our field.
We are isolated it is a fact and it is a real argument that we stand for and are appreciated by the majority of our customers ..... But your agency forgot to tell you .....
All direct customers that we receive are warned about the fact that we cut electricity at least at 22:30 ..... and all our customers agree to because they are informed in detail in our commercial offers !
All air conditioning systems work during the hours of electricity , but we do activate this machine at the express request of our customers !
Many remote air conditioning have disappeared ..... and this is why we do not let these remotes in the media dedicated to this purpose in the bungalows !
As the prices on tours of our catalog , we are in line with the prices on the island of Nosy Be !
Similarly, hair dryers are at your free disposal at the reception ....
Similarly we always available free for our customers , essential coconut oil enhanced oil geranium who neutralize bites of Sand flies ....
We never saw a rat in our structure .... but simply timely some mice come occasionally nibbled sweets that guests leave in their bungalows ....
Our room service is open from 6:00 am until 24:00 at night and therefore no need to put coffee makers in the bungalow , our servers bring you your snacks on a platter .....
So ultimately your stay was due to misunderstandings and a lack of information by your agency and I hope that through these simple explanations will don't cause us too prejudice !

My daughter and I stayed at Anjiamarango for a week and considered it the best part of our holiday. We stayed in a bugalow on the beach and were delighted to step out of the door and right onto the beach. The bungalows are private with a little living room, beds with mosquito nets, small fridge, desk and a large bathroom with shower. We appreciated the the resort conservation and sustainability efforts with power usage (power is off during the day and after about 10:30pm), if you want a hot shower a solar heated shower bag is brought to your bungalow. Showers are perfectly confortable however without the solar heated bag. Another great thing about the resort is that the water is drinkable straight from the tap! Because the resort is quite isolated, it is most convenient to take meals at the resort. Staff come to you a couple of hours before meal time to ask what food you would like and when you would like it. The meals were deilcious and we loved the freshly squeezed fruit juices. The resort will arrange excursions. We took excursions to Nosy Komba to see the handicrafts made by the villagers and the lemurs. The lemurs are fed so they wait for tourists in the trees. Not a completely 'wild' experience but a way to see lemurs up close! We also went to the Millot Plantation where they grow cocoa beans. I highly recommend this excursion. Fishing and diving can also be arranged by the resort. The best experience though is watching the sunset at the infinity pool - it is one of the best I have ever seen!

Anjiamarango was the perfect spot for a relaxing beach vacation! For a great price, we had a luxury bungalow with a private little stretch of sand and balcony. We'd sit there, sipping wine or some of the resort's home-infused rum (so many flavours), watching the sunset every evening. The service was superb; as a family run establishment, the owners took an interest in their guests and made everything so easy for us. The infinity pool was beautiful. Literally right off the resort is some of the best snorkelling we've ever done, and all the equipment you need is provided free of charge. The food was very good. The owners seemed to take an interest in sustainability, providing power only in the morning and evening (no problem, because we'd be snorkelling or by the pool all day anyway!), and using a gravity system to provide water. The excursions organized by the resort seemed a little pricey, so we didn't do any, but they were able to organize a scuba diving trip for us, which, logistically, was flawless. We loved it, and would go back in a heartbeat!

Our trip to Madagascar was a last minute one over the festive period, however the resort selected was just what we needed after 11 months of hard work. The facilities were lovely and the room was amazing. It made you feel as if you were one with nature. The chameleons walked abut freely and the little green lizards have now taken my fear away of lizards. The price my husband paid for the resort was reasonable as well. The resort however much to my disappointment does not have hot water so a cold shower was the choice of the day. This meant a good hair wash would not happen, however we could get our hair braided for €6 which was a great alternative for the hot madagascan heat. The resort is owned by a french family and the son Igor took us on an amazing tour. The food at the resort is not good and on most nights i opted for fried chips. On a whole it was an amazing holiday. Don't forget to play with Tyrone the lemur as he loves to get this tummy scratched.

Room Tip: Select a room closer to the pool..
