Arrived very late at the lodge, due to a lot of problems with our BA flight from London to Johannesburg and corresponding flight to Windhoek. However, upon arrival, we immediately felt very welcome. The lodge is situated in a beautiful private parc. The rooms were very clean, though very basic. During breakfast, lunch an dinner, we really enjoyed the food! We made a tour in the parc with open jeeps, with 2 very charming guides. Landscape was beautiful and we were offered a gin/tonic, when watching the sun going down. Great pictures, great remembrances! Highly recommended!

We stopped here for the night during our southern Namibia trip and it was so lovely. We were met at our car by a very friendly staff that took us on a tour of the grounds, while a second staf member met us at our rooms with our bags. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable and our door opened up to the petrified dunes.
The pool was very welcome after a long and dusty drive on very corrugated roads and chilling out on the deck chairs was a treat.
Dinner in the evening was very tasty with a variety to choose from, as it was in a buffet format. Some Oryx came to visit the nearby watering hole and we could observe them during dinner time. Breakfast the next morning was lovely as well and we had to make an early start to get to Sossusvlei nearby.
If you are Namibian or a SADC country member, it is very worthwhile to get the Gondwana Card as it offers substantial discounts on accommodation.

Room Tip: All rooms have their doors facing the beautiful petrified dunes, so views are not a problem. Some ro...

Anja and her team makes this one of the best Gondwana lodges around. It is always a huge pleasure to come back.
The fantastic location, the friendliness of the staff and the excellent food make this an all-time favourite.

very beautiful lodge in their own parc, with even giraffes nearby the lodge. Good pool although to cold to swim in July. Food was very good. Staff very friendly. The sundowner tour with gin / tonic is recommended.

Enjoyed our recent stay at the Namib Desert Lodge. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. Food was very good and plentiful. They even were willing to do a special order for one of our family members. We enjoyed being able to take a short hike in the evening. Just know that it will take a total of two hours to get out to the actual dunes when you go to Sossusvlei.

The venue setting perfect desert experience, infrastructure upper class. Food good and service friendly, helpful and overall well trained staff. This lodge is definitely recommended if in the area. Namib Desert Lodge could be recommended - my family agrees, well priced, value for money.

The service when we arrived there was excellent - everybody made us feel very welcome. Maybe you can serve other types of meat, not only venison, because not everybody likes it. Beautiful place! It's a must for travellers.
