I have stayed at Anabezi for more than a week in October and I wasn't dissapointed. The tents are very spacious and offer an amazing view over the river bed and the Zambezi river. The service and food was awesome. No standard menu here without choice (as I experienced in other lodges), but they offer a good choice of various dishes.

The game viewing was wonderful. Best in the Lower Zambezi National park in my opinion. The number of leopards is just incredible. Amazing Carmine bee-eaters, mating lions, pygmee kingfishers and even an aardvarck. I can't complain one bit. My guide Patrick was great on all fronts. It was even no problem to watch a termite mound with dwarve mongooses for 45 minutes (my request). The best experience for me so far in the Lower Zambezi.

Anabezi is a comfortable camp with a perfect location for animal viewing. the staff was attentive but was a little short on food options given the price of the accommodations. Our favorite meal was the vegetable curry. it was delicious!

the room side plunge pool was a lifesaver during the sweltering afternoon breaks. Our guide Patrick was knowledgeable, accommodating, and very focused on spotting incredible wildlife.

Room tip: choose a room far from the lodge overlooking the marsh to see the most wildlife.

This was a lovely place to start our holiday. Even before reaching the camp we began our game viewing - and there was lots of it! One of the nicest things, with the temperature in the 40s, was the personal dip pool outside the tent with the opportunity to watch the passing game while keeping cool in the dip pool. As well as the game drives the trips on the river, either canoeing or in a small motor launch, were a good way to see the wildlife.

Truly one of a kind luxury camp. My tent, if you can call them that, had a lovely living room, two fully equipped bathrooms (one indoor, one outdoor), great comfy beds, very large deck with an in deck pool, overlooking the meadow that hosted herds of antelope, buffalo, baboons, wart hogs, hippos and elephants every day. The open air dining area and lounge with views of the Lower Zambezi river and the park were delightful as were the staff. Annette the hostess and the guides Nobi and Matt are were extremely knowledgeable as well as very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. In addition to game drives through the game filled park, they also offer fishing.

Anabezi is a mesmerizingly beautiful place, where you have a chance to truly immerse yourself in the wilds of the Lower Zambezi National Park. From the moment our tiny plane touched down we saw the most incredible wildlife, the area is completely unspoilt and simply teeming with it! The camp itself is very luxurious despite its remote position. The rooms were very set along a risen walkway, distanced apart for complete privacy and very spacious for two people (could easily fit three), with indoor and outdoor bathrooms, private plunge pools and a large viewing deck overlooking one of the small tributaries that run into the Zambezi, where lots of game come to drink. The pods from the Ana trees that surround the camp are a big draw for the local elephants, meaning that they are always wandering close by, and on occasion, happily munching by the entrance to your room! There is no pretention here, you are really in the middle of the bush, and can get incredibly close to some amazing animals, but the Anabezi staff are always on hand to walk you to and from your room to ensure that the path is clear. We had some fascinating game drives with Patrick and Matt as our guides, who seemed to know everything there is to know about the animal and birdlife. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a true experience of an unspoilt area of Africa. A very special place and would love to return here again.
