I ve know this hotel since I was a little girl, just went back, Wow what a flash back.
Dont think you are going to a luxury hotel, its rustic charm is vintage mexican style.
But you are in for a great time. Thermal pools, Tennis. Beautiful gardens,
A short walk to the beautiful colonial town, the market just down the street, you feel like you are back in time! The weathe is amazing feels like Spring all year long!
But I saved the best for last The food! You ever been to grandmas for a great meal?
Well it is not a Restaurant, it is grandmas kitchen! Every meal is freshley prepared and everything is delicious! Try surf and turf arrachera y camarones, guacamole, salsa molcajeteada, WOOOOOWW!
The service is family around you! Dont miss out on this experience!
Great place for conventions, weddings, or just family cultural fun!

This place is the classic example of a lie. It is rated four stars, wrong, barely it is two stars. The gardens are pretty but the guests will not sleep on the grass. The rooms are in really bad shape. Dirty, the rug awful, you cannot open the windows so I cannot imagine this place in summer (because they do not have AC), the shower doors falling down, and they dare to charge your credit card like a five stars hotel. The SPA service is just right, but the place where it is located is not the best because in the afternoon the temperature falls down at an incredible speed.
And besides all that they announce themselves like an "Ecological paradise", another lie because they do not have saving water toilets, the faucets waste so much water that is painful to see. A garden does not make a place "ecological".
Is disgusting, there are other options in Tequisquiapan. The hotel is placed in a small town in Querétaro State, Tequisquiapan. The town is really small so with a 3 minutes walk you are in the downtown, but there are a lot of hotels in the same condition.
You can avoid a bad experience.

Room Tip: Do not go there

The location of this hotel couldn't be better. A very short walk will take you to the downtown area. People say that it's pricey for what you get, but this is not the case. If you expect a 5 star hotel, not even the one rated as "the best" in the area is a 5 star. This is a quiet family hotel, with typical architecture and nice pools and private therms that can be reserved at a low price. The food in the restaurant is ok. One of the best things is the complementary wifi connection, which you rarely get in any kind of hotels here in Mexico. The double rooms are small but nice. If you come with a big entourage, you can get bigger rooms in which you do not feel crowded. If you travel as a couple and are willing to pay a bit more, there are suites and even a very nice penthouse with private pool or jacuzzis. The hotel also has a small shop, pool bar, etc. if you bring electronic appliances such as iPad, laptop or smartphones, be sure to request in the reception for an electric cord extension which will be provided at no extra cost and you can keep for all your stay. Just mind that the sole electric connection in the room is way up by the tv on the wall (therefore, the extension cord). The staff is helpful and if you need someone that speaks English, it can happen. The parking lot is big with enough spaces, at no extra cost. The green areas are very pretty and you can walk around. All in all, the p,ace is nice and typical of the region. You won't regret your stay here. Last but not least, close to the hotel, in the plaza, there is a very nice place to eat that is exactly in front of the church, called Cilantro y Perejil. The food is very good, with barbecues and not expensive.

The Relox is an old tradition in Tequisquiapan, Queretaro. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is old so some issues may arise in the rooms, however if necessary you'll get a new room. There's a lot to do in the hotel (swim, play tennis or soccer, relax in a hammock, etc) and since the hotel is downtown you can enjoy the hole truistic areas by walking. The art crafts market is also a few steps away and there's lots to do and shop. Great place for a weekend.
