The grounds are immaculate, the estate is amazing, and the staff is very friendly. My wife & I stayed for two nights, and had a wonderful time. Almost everything and everywhere is accessible, which is almost unbelievable considering the amount of time and money that has gone into refurbishing this magnificent property. Several members of the staff mentioned how well thought of the owner, Gary, is there, and we now know why. He introduced himself, and is as down-to-earth as you can get. He lives in the mansion, so guests will likely meet him at some time. As majestic as any of the Rhode Island mansions, but far more enjoyable, as almost nothing is off-limits. Must be seen to be believed.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful (we took a tour).

The overall experience is fantastic - the castle is special. Just impressive and fun.

Walk the grounds outside and really get a feel for the grandeur and size of the estate. Explore the nooks and crannies and realize the details in each room and the great restoration work that has gone on.

Interesting history and fun to learn about the residents and the original owner Otto Herman Kahn. Even the simple breakfast was impressive in the dining room/Hall. Beautiful bar and lounge area to relax and have a drink - service was excellent, from top to bottom; valet, front desk, bar service, etc. Also met the current owner, who is very understated, personable, and friendly. What a pleasure-he took a couple of pictures of my wife and me, and he genuinely seemed happy that we were enjoying our stay at the castle!!

My first visit to the restaurant was fantastic, however my second visit was awful. My salad had a nasty hair, when I mentioned it to the waiter, she took my plate with an attitude as if it was my fault. The next plate they bring, was a very small portion. Our meal took 45 minutes to be served. The women in this place have an attitude.

Room Tip: Visited the restaurant.
