This restaurant is family owned/operated for many years and serves great Italian food. Like others have reported, their portions are large and the meals are always delicious and consistently prepared. In the summer at dinner, there is often a wait, but it's worth it! I particularly recommend: various salads with house dressing (garlicy and delicious), eggplant rollatini, shrimp oreganato, and a steak (HUGE and tasty!!)

Have been going to Frankie & Johnny's since 1981! I was born & raised Italian so it usually isn't my first choice when dining out (I grew up with some great Italian cooks that are tough to beat!). Frankie & Johnny's is the real deal ...... they do sauce right! They are also famous for their huge portions .... you can seriously feed 3 people from 1 serving! I love the calamari fra diavolo and the veal or chicken valdestano. Actually .... I love just about anything there. Never have had a bad meal. Pizza is great too! If you are going for the atmosphere be forewarned that the paneling hasn't changed in 30 years .... but who cares ... the food is great, the portions are huge .... it's like eating at Grandma's! This is a Sullivan County icon .... and a must dine in experience. Buon appetito!

been eating at Frankie and Johnny's for more than 25 years. Place has not changed - HUGE portions, consistent food, great place to go with a large group or with children. Service is usually OK, but when it gets really busy, be prepared to wait. You know what you're getting, you know what to expect, and it's worth it. If you want fancy dining, this is NOT the place.

Thank Ron S
