We just returned from two nights at Spruce Row Campground.
First, the positives: The campground is very conveniently located to Ithaca and the state parks nearby. The campground is VERY quiet; even during daylight it is quiet and once it gets dark, all that can be heard is night noises. My ten year old enjoyed the swimming pool, the playground and playing bingo.
Now the negatives: The sites are very haphazardly sized and mainly on the small size. And because of where the electricity and water hookups were located on our site, we had to position the popup facing away from the fire pit. Not a horribly thing, just awkward. But the bathrooms are the main negative. Most of the restrooms are little more than privies, with either no lights or burned out light bulbs. The bath house was a little bit better but there again, there was a light burned out in the ladies restroom, the hand dryer did not work and one side had no water faucet. I don't expect fancy at a campground but they don't seem to maintain what little they have.
Simply put, we will not return to this campground.
