They don't take reservations, so we went early and had no trouble getting a booth. We started with their soup of the day, an "Eastern Long Island clam chowder" - no cream, but not tomato-based either. It had some tomato and lots of vegetables and potato in a clam broth. Excellent, as was the gnocchi with eggplant ragu, a dense tomato-based sauce with eggplant. The wine list is impressive. We had a great super-Tuscan red. Service was friendly and efficient.
