“One of the highlights of the trip”
Reviewed 19 August 2013 via mobile

This is a wonderful oasis of calm where you can spend hours wandering the woods and observing birds of all kinds. The visitor centre is excellent and there are labs where you can explore bird sounds and other things. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and were clearly passionate about the place and the work it does. I would go out of my way to visit here.

“You do not have to be a bird watcher to enjoy this”
Reviewed 8 August 2013

Very beautiful center where you can watch birds feeding from feeders in a beautiful garden while you sit inside. There are also various nature trails to choose from.

“A wonderful place to relax”
Reviewed 8 August 2013

Found this place by accident while on vacation several years ago. It is so peaceful I could stay there for days! Even if you can't walk the grounds, stay inside and sit comfortably and watch the wildlife. Not to be missed!

“Wonderful morning walk”
Reviewed 8 August 2013

We had a wonderful Sunday morning walk on Wilson trail. Great place to walk and take in the sights and sounds of the birds. Also stopped at the observatory building and watched the birds feeding on the other side of the glass. Look forward to revisiting in a few years as the kids get older and we can try to walk all the trails.

“not just for the birds”
Reviewed 1 August 2013

lovely trails- short or long walks- one leads to Andy Goldsworthy sculpture. Lots of interesting informative exhibits inside and especially fun in the spring when the herons are nesting above the pond
