“Awesome Hike and Educational”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 January 2014

Excellent for families, singles, couples. This place is quite nice because its very user friendly. Access to hiking trails is very easy and I've seen many, many people with young kids and pushing strollers. The walk is mostly flat and very easy. The downside..it gets a lot of visitors. But overall, you feel like your removed from the hustle and bustle. Ive seen deer many times that Ive visited there and they're not too afraid of people which makes it nice to stop and observe them for a while. The hike goes around in a loop trail and circles a beautiful pond which you can get glimpses off at various spots along the trail. There;s a building on the grounds which is Cornells Orinthology Lab that's open to the public. There is a very nice gift shop inside as well as places to sit and relax...reading materials....and big glass windows that you can gaze out and look at the pond. Usually theres ducks on the pond and various other wildlife on the grounds.

“Great place for nature lovers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

Rain or shine, the Lab is a world-renowned spot for birders and nature lovers. The walking trails meander through a nice patch of forest, and on a rainy day you can view the birds on the pond or at the feeders from inside the building where you can stay warm and dry. There is always a nice selection of artwork on display. The gift shop is great for nature-related games, books, and toys for all ages.

“Great time and FREE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 November 2013

Our daughter lives in Ithaca and took us to the Cornell Ornithology Lab. It was cold and raining outside, but we had a wonderful experience. Great little theater inside and wonderful movie (s). Also the gift shop is first class and not expensive.

“Awesome lab - important work”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 November 2013

Loved hanging at the visitors center with their bird viewing station with pond. Used loaner binocs, and watched species of ducks I'd never 'met' before (mergansers), watched a red tail hawk survey his kingdom, and photographed waxwings. Awesome time!

“Loved the Cornell Lab of Ornithology & Sapsucker Woods Visitor Center”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 November 2013

Well worth a morning guiding birding walk, and setting aside time to hang out in the woods with some good binoculars. They have loaners (good ones!) at the Center. The work the lab does is wonderful (and important) as well. My husband and two sons (early 20's, one attending Cornell grad school) joined me on the trip...all loved it!
