“Great Venue”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

We were in Ithaca for our friend Joe Crookston's CD release concert. The Hangar was a great venue with excellent sound and sight lines. Joe packed the place but it was still quite comfortable.

My first show at the Hangar was "Show Boat" in 1978, and we have never stopped going. The Hangar Theatre is a wonderful place! For more information and to help you plan a visit you'll be sure to love, check: www.hangartheatre.org

The Hangar Theatre is a great regional theatre. Broadway stars at upstate prices. A great way to spend an evening in Ithaca.

“Ithaca's Professional Theatre”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

During the summer, the Hangar Theatre stages musical and non-musical productions directed, acted, and designed my professionals. In addition, during the summer, the Hangar presents wonderful productions for children. During the fall, winter, and spring, the Hangar presents a wide range of cultural events. Visitors and area residents have enjoyed attending performances at the Hangar for 40 years.

“Community theatre at its best”
Reviewed 7 January 2014

I always took my kids to the summer series kids productions. Sometimes you could even get free tickets around town at the doctor office, Wegmans etc... They always took the time to meet the audience after every performance. They offered summer camps. There were adult oriented performances too.
