We enjoyed the atmosphere, staff and food at Maxie's. It was crowded, but it was Friday night. We spied the special dessert right away, so we saved room by having small meals. Ahi tuna that I had on my salad was a bit overdone, but not horribly so. My husband's Andouille sausage po'boy was to his liking. The dessert was a chocolate espresso bread pudding, and met our delicious expectations.
