“Fantastic, as always!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2011

Wonderfully preserved Greek revival-style large house with a choice of accommodations, from single bedrooms to suites . How do I know? Because, over the years I have stayed in them all, sometimes with family, or sometimes just me. Breakfasts are bountiful, as healthy and tasty as you want. The WiFi works great, so if you need it, it's there. Don't forget to allow enough time in your stay to visit the antique store located in an old barn on the expansive property, ditto the sculpture garden! And, its just a short drive into Ithaca, and well-situated for Finger Lakes visits. Am I the owner? Nope, just one of many that have signed the fat ledger of guests leaving satisfied comments!

My partner and I stayed with Colleen and Evan in their massive and exquisitely decorated North Suite over the recent easter weekend. Every possible effort was made by our hosts to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The food was awesome and they were even kind enough to invite us to join them and their friends for Easter dinner!! Their expansive antique shop located right on the property is definitely worth seeing. It's rare to see such rare items so beautifully staged/displayed. And their location on top of the escarpment provides a spectacular view of the city and the lake below.

We stayed at the Inn at City Lights for Cornell Days. Colleen and Evan were very welcoming and gave us a suite with a kitchen and second bedroom for our teenage daughter. The suite was very spacious and decorated in a delightful eclectic mix of antiques and contemporary items. The whole place was very homey. The suite had games, books, and DVDs to entertain guests on a rainy day. The Inn is close to Cornell and downtown Ithaca with its many restaurants. The delicious breakfast was served in the big country kitchen where Colleen and Evan were just about the perfect hosts. We highly recommend this place!

I don't normally write reviews on things, but our stay with Coleen and Evan was wonderful. Both us and our friends were impressed with The Inn at City Lights. We had a great time and our hosts were very hospitable. Breakfast was great both days we stayed and we enjoyed visiting the antique shop next door. There are so many things to do in the area and there are some very good restaurants too.

The Inn@ City Lights is a great place to stay while exploring the area around Ithaca and the Finger Lakes. It is in a convenient location with a fantastic view of the city of Ithaca and comfortable accommodations. Colleen and Evan are welcoming and enjoyable hosts, ready with helpful suggestions.

Colleen and her husband don't run a traditional bed and breakfast inn. They create an environmnt that soothes the spirit upon entering. By the time I unpacked, I felt at home. There are no right angles at the City Lights. Everything feels soft and accomodating. The rooms are warm and comfortable and the food healthy and robust. Love goes into everything. Even the selection of books and magazines are very cool. Go there. It will be the highpoint of your journey.

Well, we were supposed to go to St. John to get away from the Philadelphia cold but had to change our plans. Still in need of a vacation, we picked (believe it or not) Ithaca NY because we wanted a small town with things to do locally but low key. We picked the best possible place to stay when we chose The Inn at City Lights. Comfortable, private, spacious, great location, decorated beautifully with lots of attention to detail, fantastic breakfasts. Great off-season prices and most of all, Evan and Colleen seem to REALLY want and enjoy their guests and making them/us feel at home and welcome and cared for. The Inn feels like a true labor of love for them. HIghly recommend and will go back!
