So I'm a native newyorker, born and raised so I kind of new what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised extremely happy with my stay. The rooms are SMALL. But, again, Its NY. The area is not the safest but you can go out at night and you will be absolutely FINE. Jamaica ave is 2 blocks away and theres so much amazing food choices you wouldn't even guess ( carribean food) Not the best shopping choices but jamaica ave is a little gem of NYC a staple if you grew up here. Shuttle service sucks so call HOURS ahead but other than that staff is friendly, and its is extremely clean and me being OCD about cleanliness that says a lot. Jamaica ave is the hub of transportation so you can take the bus far out to LI or the subway to the city. Long Island rail road is right there as well for a more comfy ride to anywhere. If you're not familiar with the area it might seem like an absolute failure so do your research !

Room Tip: Hotel lobby is basically the basement, no real view of outside but ground level rooms block noise if...

The room was super small! Very comfortable bed and pillows! Shower was nice! Only had one towel and when I asked for another I never received it. Breakfast was average. The lady at front desk was super helpful but not the same story in the morning. For the price it was worth the money! Everything in the room was up to date. I would stay again if in the area.

We stayed there over the weekend and everything was good. Room was small, not a big issue for me, but I can imagine for someone travelling with many suitcases it could be a problem. You can accomodate yourself or your luggage into the room, not both the same time. Otherwise it was clean and freshly renovated. Wifi is free, worked very well. Breakfast is typical american "heart attack style", however, it was not bad comparing to any other hotels of the same level. And the breakfast room attendant was helpful. All the staff were helpful and friendly, except for an evening male receptionist who checked us in. They provide a free shuttle working until 11 pm. It took us from/to the airport and the train station too. We spent one day in Manhattan, easily reachable by subway (almost one hour) or LIRR train (less than half an hour). The hotel area is a combination of highways, old houses and a waste recycling plant. It smells terribly, luckily not in the hotel, but if the wind is changed, who knows. Be aware, that there is no grocery or restaurant around. If you are thirsty, one vending machine is located downstairs, next to the breakfast room. For the money I paid I think this hotel is very good for a short stay, if you look for any services or a nice area to walk, look for something else. Also, if you arrive at night or leave very early in the morning, you can find some other hotels offering 24 hours free shuttle service in the area to avoid expensive cabs.

Needed a quiet, comfortable, reasonable place with free shuttle to JFK. Was surprised to find a well stocked breakfast in time for the early morning shuttle. Staff was above average and tried to find us food for delivery late on a Sunday evening. Room was clean and updated.

Stayed here overnight after a trans-pacific flight. Took them over an hour to send a shuttle to Federal Circle, JFK Airport. Remember to call the hotel to send the shuttle for pick-up. If you are an international traveler without a cell-phone, good luck. Decent Bed and nothing else. Good for people during transit.

I'd like to give it a higher review, because they obviously have been trying to make this an attractive option. My biggest concern is that we, and all the people on our shuttle from JFK, were put on the first floor, and all of us found it impossible to lock our windows. We switched our room once, but you couldn't lock the window in the new room either. The desk clerk called someone who told her that we were wrong, we could lock the windows. I heard her say to this person that the only clean rooms were on the first floor, so we had no other options. She then called the same unfriendly guy who drove the shuttle (and did not help with the bags), to get a ladder and go from room to room to lock the windows. It took a guy with a ladder to lock the windows! This was in a hotel that I was told was a new building. I would never stay in a first floor room anywhere that you could not lock the windows, and definitely didn't want to in this scary urban neighborhood! The desk clerk was obviously exasperated with people telling her they couldn't lock the windows, and wasn't very gracious about it. After that, the lobby was very noisy all night, and sounded as if there was a party going on at the front desk. Also, the shuttle ride was very long, and the shuttle only went to the airport once per hour. On the plus side, it was clean and the decor was pretty. Still, I wouldn't go there again, or recommend it to others.

Room Tip: not on the first floor!

Eventhough sleep inn is locoted at black people neighbourhood, but the all the inside facilities and room are EXCELLENT! price is FAIR, staffs are HELPFUL, and it is absolutely COMFORT place to stay. Will recommend to others and it will be my first choice if I ever travel to NYC again.

P/S: Free shuttle bus service to Subway, but I suggested you to tip the driver, 2 dollars that is fine.
