We really appreciate your recognition of our staff. Many of our travelers are weary after a long flight and our staff is genuine in their kindness and empathy. I am so happy you were able to relax and enjoy our hotel. We look forward to the next time you are in the area.
The Best Western was a very comfortable, clean, friendly hotel. We stayed the night before our flight and parked for the duration of our travel. They provided excellent service and the convenience of being able to park our car put our mind at ease while we enjoyed our vacation.
I thought it was ok to stay here for one night between connecting flights. We picked up the shuttle at JFK Federal Circle and it also dropped us back off at the airport the next morning at 4am. I think the shuttles run every half hour. The hotel was clean, although I never barefoot in these kind of hotels. We couldn't really get the heating as warm as we wanted as it was freezing outside. Because our flight was so early we didn't have the chance to make use of the breakfast but they packed us a little bag, which was nice and very useful as you don't get food on the flight.
Would I stay here again? For the price I paid, yes. I don't think the other hotels in the area are better for the price range.
My now husband and I were to stay here for the night before our flight out to our honeymoon. We booked through an agent and they said the time we were to arrive (late night) was fine. We get there and they had cancelled our reservations. The phone number on file was our travel agent who received no phone call from them and they had actually JUST cancelled the reservation shortly before we arrived. They didn't have a room left so we had to go to another hotel that they set up for us for what ended up being for less than 2 hours time and we got charged the full amount. We were refunded $75 finally but we are still waiting on the $100 gift card we were promised...8 months later!! We have gotten the run around from everyone. Awful business practice between management and Best Western in general.
staff was totally ignorant and would or could not get any information regarding storm delays etc at JFK: price for additional night due to storm delay would got from $140 to $340, gouging by any definition
Hello, thank you for your comments. I do have to correct you and say that my staff is absolutely not ignorant. We have up to the second updates from airport personnel and share that with our valued guests. We also have a computer in our lobby for our guests to use as well as a mounted I-Pad that is used for boarding passes and flight information. Our rates, however do fluctuate based on the activity at the airport being that we are an airport hotel. We certainly do not price gauge because by definition, price gauging is an extreme raise in price when there is no other retailer available. There are 26 hotels in the JFK airport area so we are one of many. Once again, I do appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. We appreciate your business and wish you safe travels!
this is a hotel that is close to JFK. There are very few places to eat near it but it has a great call to order service. The breakfasts are great and the shuttle is very quick and easy to use. The staff was very good and easy to find and easy to talk to. they helped many people when the weather was the problem.
