“Wonderful Hotel for pre-flight stay - JFK”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

Had an early morning flight from JFK, picked this hotel for price & 5 minute proximity. Rooms are on the small size, but very efficient, fine for a night or two. Beds very comfortable, mattresses firm not saggy. Bathroom was amazing, Instead of curtain, they has floor to ceiling glass, very spa like. Only negative here was lack of shelf or soap holder, had to put shampoo & soap on the floor. There are two Sleep-ins in Brooklyn/Queens, make sure to book the ROCKAWAY BLVD location, it is away from the Belt Parkway and away from the noise.

Check-in was quick, service exceptional. I returned my rental car the night before, and was picked up the shuttle within 5 minutes. Asked for a 7 am shuttle back to airport, we were the only passengers at that hour, so asked if we could go slightly earlier. No problem, the shuttle driver was having breakfast with us, told us he way ready as soon as we ate and were ready. Best of all, he drove us all the way to our terminal, not the usual drop-off at federal circle to connect to the airport train.

Free breakfast provided, standard staples, eggs, waffles, toast, juices, yogurt, fresh fruit, nicely prepared, self serve. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed here the night before we left on an international flight. We had a lot of luggage, we left 1 piece in our trunk, when we got to our room we found it to be extremely tiny. There was barely enough room for the two of us let alone us and our luggage. It was ok for a quick nights sleep but far from what we are used to for a budget hotel. It was clean enough.

Stayed here after arriving on a late night flight. Close to the JFK airport - hotel staff collected us. Small basic rooms - good for a one night stay if coming from / going to airport. Relatively clean. Basic breakfast provided. Don't expect anything fancy.

Nice place to stay near the airport. The rooms are small, but well laid out. The King Size bed was wonderful, slept like a rock!
The free breakfast in the morning was unreal! It offers everything. It is very tasty, you serve yourself, a good variety of breakfast foods and great coffee!
The staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful.
Only downside is they charge you for room safe, if you use it or not!

Room Tip: Ask for the King Size bed. You will sleep like a rock! Free Wi Fi that is always available.

9 of us stayed one night before flying out of JFK. Front desk was very nice and accomidating. Rooms were fairly small but very celan and beds were comfy. We were greeted the next morning at the breakfast buffet by the owner who wanted to be sure our stay was comfortable. You could tell his man takes pride in his business. I would absolutely stay again if flying out of JFK.

Stayed at this hotel before an early-morning flight out of JFK. The hotel was mostly clean, room was small but adequate, breakfast was basic, with less of a selection than a typical hotel like this one. Biggest complaint is outside noise (mostly traffic) was easily heard in the room.
When I checked out the clerk accepted my key, checked the computer, and said I was done. Later I found a $3.26 charge from the hotel on my credit card (I had paid for the room in advance through Expedia). I called the hotel and the clerk told me the charge was the safe fee and hotel fee. He said the fees are charged to everyone, but not included in the hotel price. I told him I didn't agree to the fees, and he stated the fees are listed in the check-in form guest sign upon arrival. Looking through the reviews here I see others have encountered this problem.
I called my credit card company to dispute the fee, and they immediately removed it from my account.
Overall, an acceptable place to spend the night before a flight, but nothing more. Additionally, watch your credit card statement after you stay. Because of these added charges, and wouldn't stay there again.

We had an early morning international flight so decided to travel the 3 hours the day before, and stay in a conveniently located hotel.
I was a little worried as we checked in when a rude woman demanded that the manager stop what he was doing (working with us) to speak to Price line on her cellphone, in order to get a refund. "I'm not at all happy with the room". The manager was very respectful, polite and responsive despite the woman's obnoxious behavior.
The rooms are definitely small, but they are clean and well-kept. The hotel was quiet and for the money - well worth it.
