A pretty nice place, clean with very comfortable beds. Quiet location and helpful, friendly staff. The only real negative is that the wifi signal is not very strong, and I stayed very close to the check-in area. Can't comment on the breakfast since I didn't try it.

I wrote a complimentary review of this motel back in 2008, giving it 3 stars. Since then the sheets have gotten grimer, the pillows lumpier, the blankets thinner, mold in the bathroom, etc. They have also instituted a policy of "Going Green" which just means that they no longer clean the room or change the sheets for 3 (in our case 4) days. Going Green in their case means they have more Green in the bank as they no longer have to pay to give you these services. We visit family every year in Johnson City and have always stayed at the Red Roof, but we won't stay there again.

I come to the Binghamton area often and have stayed at several of the area hotels, usually higher-end ones costing twice as much or more. Those places definitely have better amenities, but for a quick overnight, this hotel is absolutely great! I am very impressed with the place.

The front desk staff is friendly and efficient. The room (in my case a King Superior) was of reasonable size, equipped with the necessary amenities (except a hairdryer: that is one thing I wish they'd add). The bed was comfortable. There was none of that "cheap hotel" antiseptic smell. The bathroom was adequate, though small. Towels were clean, in good condition and of reasonable quality. Water pressure was very good.

As far as location is concerned, the hotel is convenient to the highway and close to restaurants, a great grocery store and even a shopping mall, but is still slightly "off the beaten path" and therefore quiet.

A great option for a short stay!

Room Tip: The superior room is worth the price

No frills, but clean, comfortable beds and quiet. Beds are a little small but for a night they are fine.

I am impressed with the service from everyone at Red Roof Inn. Special noteworthy recignition should go to Scott who does the maintenance. Knowing I was bringing my wife from the hospital with a broken vertebrea; Scott made extra efforts to ensure ice was removed from the parking area so it would be safe for my wife. He put extra salt down to ensure melting snow would not ice up again. He also, provided assistancefor me to obtain items I needed for the trip back to MD so she would be comfortable. Please relay my gratitude and appreciattion to Scott.

The staff is very helpful particularly the lady at the front desk, Janice Trojnar. She is always cheerful and willing to help. The rooms are nice and clean. I have stayed there many times and will return again. I also like the members club that earns free nights. All around very nice place to stay.

Have stayed here a few times when having to overnight for after-hours projects for a client of mine in the Binghamton area. Usually paid $50-60/night. Cheaper than other places of lesser quality.

Pros: the rooms are clean and don't have that cheap motel smell, the beds were comfortable, fresh linens, the decor is modern and visually appealing. Nice size work desk situated so you can watch TV at the same time. Front desk staff seemed friendly.

Cons: bathroom was tiny - just enough room for a bathtub and toilet. The sink was located outside. I knew when the room next to me was taking a shower - nice and loud - thankfully I was getting ready to leave when it was being used. Internet was slow - only 256 kbps so no Netflix or Youtube - guess they want you to spend $$ on pay-per-view movies instead. Door to your room opens to the outside, and you have to keep your curtain closed for privacy. No continental breakfast. Have to walk outside to vending machine (not fun in the winter).

I'll probably stay there again if I'm looking for a cheap place to crash.
