“Exactly what we were looking for on the water”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014

My wife and I were spending a few days in the Hudson Valley and wanted to do some kayaking in addition to hiking, and this was perfect. Jess, the owner, really knows his stuff about the Rondout Creek and how to best enjoy it. It was not at all expensive, and you can exert as much or as little as you want to. I'm really glad we found this place and would definitely go back.

“Nice relaxing afternoon ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 July 2014 via mobile

Came here for an afternoon activity after reading reviews on trip advisor. We didn't see the sign at first off the main road, it shares a space with a boating company- same family, 2 businesses which is really cool- they are an extremely nice, helpful and professional family. The river is very calm, scenic and relaxing. We saw a blue herron and an eagle, paddled to a small waterfall and under a bridge. We were out for an hour and a half and instead of rounding up to 2 hours, he charged us for an hour ($30 for a double kayak) which was super nice. Jesse is the owner and started the business at 14yrs old. He's so helpful and a genuine guy. Would definitely recommend.

“Couple a morning kayak on the rondout with an afternoon hike for the perfect Catskills day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014

What a perfect activity in the morning to compliment our afternoon hike. If you are looking to do something water related in the Catskills this is it - especially if kayaking or tubing the rapids in the Esopus Creek seems a little too dangerous for your taste. Except for one ugly barge we passed, there were several beautiful bridges to kayak underneath. We made it up to the historic rondout area and back. Good arm workout! Afterwards - we went for lunch at Mariner's Harbor. The owner was very an impressive young man - very courteous and professional - loaded the boat in the water - and gave us a helpful rundown of the creek before setting off. There was quite a crowd of parties waiting to get on the water - b/c of the rain the day before - and he handled it all in stride.

“Great Afternoon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2013

Wanted something to do with my visiting daughter. The experience was great from start to finish. Jesse and others were friendly and efficient. Interesting experience to sit in the kayak on the trailer and being back into the water. We were lucky with the water and had a lovely 2 hours on the water. No problem returning the kayaks, very reasonable rates and lovely late lunch at the Rondout waterfront area. Recommend the experience to one and all. JLW

“Fun time on the water”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2013

We really enjoyed our kayak trip today. Jesse was very accommodating, putting us directly into the water - from a trailer hitch- so we didn't have to get our feet wet. Very reasonable rates. We'll be back.
