I grew up going to Deising's as it is a staple in Kingston but the last time I went in there with my mom we got up and walked out. We were seated at a table but then never had a waitress come. We sat there for close to 15 minutes without menus or anyone even stopping by to ask us if we wanted a drink of water. If you are looking for lunch go somewhere else... if you are looking for baked goods (which theirs are delicious) I would take it to go.

We used to take our elderly cousin here for lunch whenever we came to visit her, so we know the food is good. We just wanted a quick breakfast and it was great for lox and bagels. Don't come looking for a bargain, but it's not outrageous. Their baked goods are always a treat.

This is a really nice local bakery and restaurant. It has been there for a long time, and the baked goods are excellent. It is larger than it initially seems, and there are several rooms with tables, as well as a counter for more casual service. Try the pastries, they are very good. The parking lot is small, but there is on-street parking as well, and there is not that much traffic in the area.

Stopped here on the way to the Taste of Country festival on Hunter Mountain. We went to the North Front street location. They have another on Broadway. You enter through the bakery and walk into the restaurant. Make sure you park on the correct side of the building. The diner next door gets somewhat upset if you take up their spots. The menu offers you choices on the quantity of food you want. You can order 1,2 or 3 pancakes or pieces of french toast. This is a really nice feature. You can also specify the number of eggs you want in your omelet. I had a 2 egg western omelet with one piece of french toast on the side. It came with potatoes and a choice of bread or cantaloupe. The wife stuck with a veggie omelet. Everything was very good. The service was excellent and the room itself was very comfortable. If you like cuckoo clocks, sit in the back room. There are plenty to look at. With a large orange juice, the bill came to $19. Would absolutely go back. FYI, the bakery had some really nice items. I would have grabbed a couple of things if I wasn't so full. Also, this is a place for breakfast and lunch. They close by 5:00 pm.

I love coming back year after year each season to indulge in the great, fresh pastries, cakes, danishes and uber delightful breads & rolls.
Fresh whipped cream in heart stopping portions smooth and delicious.
Ordinary light lunch sandwiches also served. Who wants a sandwich when you can have a monkey cupcake or watermelon chip cake wedge complete with black ant toys raiding the game?!!!
Enjoy!
