Super 8 Kingston
Ranked #7 of 10 Hotels in Kingston
Reviewed 1 December 2012

We visit Kingston often and stay at this motel. Along with other reviwers we agree that the manager Peter does a super job; however the night guy is a bit gruff.
Our rooms are always clean and made up well. Having a frige and microwave is handy. Extra towels, shampoos, no problem. The staff knows Kingston and recommended places to see (Stockade District! and the Strand on the Rondout Creek, e.g.) and places to eat.
Breakfast is simple: some sweet rolls and good cereals fresh milk, and sometomes bagels creamcheese, jelly etc. Always coffee and tea as well as a small coffee pot in the room.
And, if that kind of breakfast isn't what you want just head across the street to the Olympia Diner or down to Dietz's Diner. Both recommended.

Room Tip: Get a room that faces the back yard, away from the busy Washinton street.Book in advance to do this...

We stay at this hotel frequently. We live in PA. We travel to the Catskills to ski. It is right off the Thruway and only 30-45 minutes from Hunter and Belleayre. Peter the General Manager does a great job. The breakfasts are good (including the waffles and good cereal). We get a king on the first floor, which is great. the Olympic Diner is right across the street for meals no matter what time we arrive. We used to stay at a place in Pine Hill near Belleayre but as long as your prices remain competitive we now stay at your Super 8 half of the time (depending on where we are skiing, too).

First off I chose a room and floor that was suppose to be non-smoking and there were people smoking in the rooms surronding me. When I went down stairs to say something the gentlemen at the desk was RUDE!! He rolled his eyes at me and with an attitude said he would look into it. Plus then there was a fire drill early in the morning. Never will stay at a super 8 again!
