We here as it had been recommended as a happening place. Were in Lake George for Americade weekend. It was quite empty inside when we arrive, but began to fill up and there were no tables empty when we left. The outside areas were filled with bar patrons who were enjoying themselves on this well-attended weekend. My husband ordered one of the burgers with fries and I had the shrimp basket. Both were OK, nothing more, nothing less. Fries were underdone. Service was mediocre.
I do not think we would return.

Our bartender Maggie was great! We stopped in at noon time (too early to get in our room) & had a drink...very friendly! We returned hours later & after dinner, she remembered our drinks & was very pleasant. It was rainy & cold but she was great.

I guess we got caught out. Thought that April 21 would have been far enough into Spring for more than half a dozen eateries to be open. Wrong.
Duffy's Tavern was but it really is trading on the fact it is the only place open. The sandwich board on the main road advertises Happy Hour with $3 drinks from 4-7pm. Guess we missed something as the waitress just laughed at us!
After we had studied the menu she did do a pretty good job of telling us what wasn't available. However the Duffy's Special wasn't just lacking the chicken wings, there were no mozzarella sticks either. In fact it was just chicken tenders, fries and fried mushrooms. And pretty yuk!
