A nice family afternoon in our own "backyard". My wife, who is a native, had never been. So we packed up our 4 year old son and took a short trip up to the mountain. The view is spectacular! At your feet lies Lake George Village and the southern half of the lake. Off to the east you can see the Green Mountains of Vermont, majestically rising into the air. Our son loved the open area to run and climb! And the history panels, which talked about the "hey-day" of the peak, when there was a hotel and short rail line from the village, were informative and fun to read. Overall a great afternoon trip!
