“Definitely off our list”
Reviewed 16 September 2013

We have dined in this Turkish restaurant several times in the past, however this recent visit is definitely our last.
The place is always empty. I don't like crowds but it is disturbing when every other place has a 45 to an hour wait. The waitress could barely speak English, and instead of getting someone else as we suggested she got very rude and nasty. The order was incorrect and the food was of poor quality. We noticed that the cook that has been there in the past was not there. The Lavash bread however was very good. The prices have gone up and the quality has gone down.

“Delicious vegetarian options”
Reviewed 16 September 2013

We shared the falafel plate and the veggie iskender plate as take out and both were delicious. The pita bread smothered in yogurt sauce and the fried chick peas/falafel balls were probably my favorite. Everything had great spice combos. This restaurant is a good option if you want something different from the typical fare offered in the touristy area of Lake George.

“A quick detour off the Northway”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

We drive from Northern Vermont to Metropolitan New York City frequently. There is a "restaurant desert" for much of the ride--depending on the route, you are limited to fast food, rest stops and chain restaurants. We found this place on Yelp. It is about a mile off the interstate and in a beautiful area close to the lake. We were not in high season, so parking was easy-but be sure to feed the meters. The food was great. We had the falafel platter and a vegetarian entree. The service was quick and friendly. The food was fresh, healthy and delicious. We are considering altering our route in the future to be sure we can stop here on our trips.

“Only did take out”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

We were in the mood for something different and we saw the reviews and decided to hit up Ali Baba.
We were in town for the car show and decided to do take out rather dine in.
As I stood waiting for our lunch I watched the cook make our meal. The ingredients all looked fresh and delicious and I have to say I was a little disspointed on the taste and to top it off we felt a little ripped off. Two gyros and a coke for 25. All we got was the world's thinnest gyro probably the width of a hot dog and thats being nice.

“Excellent”

Good food and good prices! Large portions. The menu has pictures of the dishes so you know what you're getting.
