Looking for real food with a dining experience (sorry Lake George - you are a beautiful town but really lack good restaurants) then you must try Bistro Leroux. You'll enjoy creative and innovative flavors and choices to satisfy even the pickiest eater . You can't go wrong here!

Service was very attentive for our table of 7 which included 3 hungry children. Loved the full or half portion entree offerings too!!

Don't miss this place if you are in the area but do make a reservation.

Our compliments to the Chef!!!

After some mediocre dining experiences around Lake George, we didn't have high expectations but this place proved us wrong.

The service was fast and attentive without being overbearing, and our waitress was really knowledgeable about the menu and wines when asked. The choice of food was excellent, and I loved the fact that you could actually pick your portion sizes, allowing me to go for three courses without feeling like a glutton!

I had asparagus wrapped in prosciutto as an appetizer - my only (slightly odd..) complaint is I prefer more veggies than meat and this was the other way round. I had the eggplant risotto for an entree which was amazing, and then pigged out and got a caramel / toffee cheesecake for dessert which was the best I've had in a long time.

A definite head and shoulders above many other restaurants in the area - definitely worth a visit.

Well, the gang on Trip Advisor got this one right. It's a fine slice of fine dining in an area not known for such. But as refined as the cuisine is, Bistro LeRoux doesn't have to be a budget-buster.
One nice feature is that virtually every item on the menu can be ordered as a half portion, giving you the chance to either try multiple items or have a nosh if you're not too hungry. I had a poached pear salad with candied walnuts that was excellent, along with a crab cake risotto. I was filled up between both and didn't need dessert. I also sampled the wife's tuna roll appetizer and scallops entrée, both of which were quite good.
There are a decent number of local and regional beers, with a fairly priced wine list should you want to go grape.
Quibble: It's great that they have a children's menu, but it should get the same attention to detail as the one for the grown-ups. The macaroni-and-cheese is Kraft, by the friendly server's admission. My 7-year-old daughter knows to ask and she vetoed that choice as a result. But her chicken fingers, straight out of a package weren't much better. My son's burger was better, but watch for the upsell on the bacon and cheese.

Wow.... What a great restaurant, no doubt the best by far. Service, quality, price everything is perfect...highly recommended to all. The location is not the best, but for the food it's not an issue
