We went as a group of 6 (2/6 children) and toured the Fort ourselves using the provided map. The 'tour' that is slated to happen every hour was scheduled at 3pm (in addition to other times throughout the day). We joined the tour which was a 15 min video followed by a discussion of period gun that they shot and also staff showed a demonstration of a canon. They also did these outside of the formal tour time. I found to watch then aside from the large group was more enjoyable. Children can dress up in a period outfit and be a part of a brief reenactment. An enjoyable afternoon for kids and adults. I did feel that bathroom was not well kept and for the price of the museum this was disappointing.

A visit to Fort Henry is a must while in Lake George. It's a great and important piece of history. Guides are knowledgeable and entertaining. Plenty for kids to explore and even dress as soldiers. Admission allows you to come and go throughout the day. Don't forget to mention if you have AAA for a discount. Enjoy the visit.

Important to note: many of the exhibits are not wheelchair accessible due to the historical nature of the structure. Keep this in mind when planning your trip.

Great Fort to visit and learn some of our history.
Staff in well versed and happy to answer any questions.
We attended the 7:30pm Ghost tour and found that not too exciting at all, trying to figure out if it was worth the money???? other then that, a cool place for history.

I've never toured the fort during the day, but the ghost tour covered a lot of history as well as the paranormal aspects of the fort. The guides were enthusiastic and able to answer all the questions that popped up on our tour (quite a few obscure questions, too -- so kudos!). It was a nice evening to walk around the fort at night and most in our group enjoyed it. Tip: Make a reservation if you think you'll want to attend. Our tour was sold out, but one in our large group of 9 had called earlier in the day to reserve our spots.

We were disappointed with our visit to Fort William Henry. Most of what we saw was reproduction. The tour was overpriced for the quick visit. The staff worked hard to make the experience enjoyable.
