Traveling to VT, we stopped here for sandwiches. The young lady that took both our order & made our sandwiches was pleasant and efficient. When I got in line, I let about 6 people ahead of me, bec my sandwiches weren't ready yet & I also had the time. When I approached the counter, I smiled & told the man what I ordered. I also put up a bottle of water and pack of gum. He was very abrupt and told me he wouldn't check me out bec my order wasn't ready and that's just how "we work here". I assured him that of he looked behind him he would see that our sandwiches were indeed finished and he just needed to get them. I told him I also had a 1/4 lb of potato salad. I kept it friendly & commented on how busy the store was, & how that was great! He told me I had to step away bec the girl didn't weigh my salad yet. (But i didn't move bec in 5 seconds it was done.) He told me he just let someone go home bec they weren't busy today until now. He was obviously stressed out but no one deserves to be treated poorly. So I stood my ground, thanked him & checked out. The sandwiches were fantastic but his rude attitude will make me think again about stopping there. A little kindness & professionalism goes a long way, especially when you have a paying customer in front of you. :)
