This hotel is not all its made to be. There was a pee smell in our room when we got there. The clerck was nice and helpful, but the manager wasn't really helpful, and seemed more interested in playing on facebook while we were there.
Could be a very nice chkice us these few irritants would be fixed.

This is our 4th stay in the fall with Clarion Inn & Suites in Lake George, NY.
It has now become a Smith Family Tradition.
The friendly staff during booking ensured we got two rooms side by side and the Check-in staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The overall condition of the property is stellar! They are constantly making sure everything is clean and well stocked. From the Breakfast Room staff to the pool, there is always an abundance of supplies. Unlike most breakfast rooms, this Clarion Inn has a massive seating area and their staff make sure all the breakfast items are in great supply. The Inn is right beside the Outlet Mall and very close to all of what Lake George has to offer. If you are looking for a family get-away - or a Girlfriends shopping weekend then this should be your FIRST CHOICE!

Room Tip: Ask about the lake George Coupon book when you check in.

This is a friendly hotel right in the middle of a row of outlet plazas. The hotel is a standard Clarion with large rooms, TV, basic amenities in the bathroom, fridge, desk, etc.
The hotel has an enclosed pool and separate jacuzzi.
It is perfect for shopping, but may not meet the needs of a traveller who want to be surrounded by nature.
The hotel was clean, but not immaculate. Breakfast was plentiful and almost wholly pre-packaged.
Staff friendly & accomodating.
Overall, would recommend for a decent place to rest your head and recover from an all day shopping trip.

Room Tip: Ask for a room wih easy acccess to a parking spot if you are loading up.

We stayed at the Clarion for 3 nights. I had contacted the hotel twice prior to arrival to ensure my special requests were noted and both times I received a prompt and courteous reply.

The King suite we had was very spacious and clean. I highly recommend getting their suites if you are travelling with a child.

All the staff we encountered were very friendly and eager to accomodate.

The location is amazing. A few steps to outlet shopping and a 3 minute drive to either the Lake George village or to Queensbury (restaurants, Wal-Mart, mall, etc.)
The free continental breakfast was great, but I would recommend the hotel offer some variety as they offer the same exact items every day. When you are there for more than 2 nights, it would be nice to see new items offered for breakfast.

Also, we noticed that the cleaning staff tend to open the windows when they are cleaning a room. There are no screens on the windows so this allows bugs to fly in. We had 4 black flies in our room on one day and it took a lot of effort to shoo them back out.

The pool was very big and clean and there were amply deck chairs and towels available.

The hotel offers free internet and there are 2 computer terminals in the lobby. There is also a microwave in the lobby.

Overall a very pleasant stay. We will definitely visit again.

Room Tip: Suites are worth the money. Very big and come with a large fridge and microwave.

There is a reason this place is rated #1 on Tripadvisor. The place is very clean, the suite we had was spacious, and the location was excellent for shopping and dining. It was only slightly higher priced than comparable motels in the area, which were rated good, but not quite as good as this Clarion. Highly recommended.

We were scheduled to go to Lake George on Sunday, Sept. 4th. and were unable to do so because of Hurricane Irene. I had already been in contact with the hotel a few days before to see if I could have a waive in my cancel/change policy since we were affected by Irene. Jeff at the front desk was so accomodating, he was able to do so..in addition, he checked the availability for the dates I may have to change to. Of course, we did have to change and when I called, it was Jeff again who answered the phone and worked his magic. When we arrived, I was happy to learn the young man at the desk, was....Jeff! We spent three days (supposed to be there 5) and was called home to more problems related to Irene....I was able to speak to the manager Ellen, and she assured me it would be fine to leave as I needed and that I would be billed only for the days we stayed...they could have charged me for the whole stay I had booked. She said "just come back and see us again". I can assure you we will! Everyone was wonderful throughout the stay. The rooom was convenient, had great amenities and was very clean! It was close to everything - right next door to the outlets, which is both good and bad, because it can get quite crazy with traffic. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!

Room Tip: Just ask if your room isn't too close to the parking areas near the outlets

We stopped here for a single night. We found the reception to be excellent and all the staff members we encountered were exceptionally friendly, smiling, and forthcoming. They are a real asset to this hotel. The room was comfortable and clean as well as quiet. The breakfast, despite being continental, had lots of choices including yogurts, breads, pastries, hard-boiled eggs, make-your-own waffles. The fruit was just some whole apples and oranges in bowls rather than slices, but that was still fine. Location is on a main road in the middle of outlet mall haven. You won't be on the lake here, but if you're interested in shopping this is definitely a good place to park yourself. Our visit coincided with a classic car show so there were lots of interesting cars in the parking lot!
