“Well-Run Local Hotel and Conference Center...with a GREAT Bar!”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

Stayed at the Tiki for the May Elvis Festival. I was expecting a more cheesy atmosphere (actual Tiki huts maybe?) but was pleasantly surprised by this well-run establishment.
My double room had a small (but updated bathroom), fridge and coffee maker. It was clean upon arrival and catered to very well by housekeeping during my stay. Very spacious,
Tiki features a nice early-morning breakfast venue (it wasn't open past lunch during my stay) as well as a friendly and quite romantic bar. The bar is run by a husband/wife duo who will make you feel like a regular after just one night.
I'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel was mediocre. I stayed there while attending the Lake George Elvis festivities. One pro is that the hotel is right next door (walking distance) to The Forum which is where the concerts and competitions took place. The bed was fine and there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room- always a big plus! But, I felt the room was overpriced. It was a bit small and lacked color or style. Some don't mind as they see the hotel as a place "to crash", but I like a pleasant and appealing atmosphere. I had a lovely view of the (empty) parking lot. Lake George could be seen in the distance just past the blacktop. The bathroom had a sink, but NO counter space, so I used the table in the room for all my make-up, hair products, etc.

Room Tip: The cheapest rooms are not carpeted but are tiled instead. If you prefer carpet, you will have to s...

Things just keep getting better and better at the TIKI. This was our fourth consecutive year staying for the first full week of June - AMERICADE. The first year we chose the TIKI, we were treated to a newly refurbished room with four-star amenities in the main hotel section of the resort. The second year brought refurbished hallways, the third had a brand new indoor pool and spa area along with new hardwood six-panel room entry doors. Now, after just four years, the management was busy re-refurbishing the bathrooms with new tub surrounds, among other things. Add to that the best breakfast café in town and a commitment to guest service and you have the makings of a first-class stay. We also liked the idea that the hotel was offering a group of visiting students from Kosovo the opportunity to train and work at the hotel, while touring the US to learn more about us, and allow us to learn more about them.

Room Tip: Despite all the dramatic upgrades made to the main hotel section of the resort in recent years, ther...

Great way to spend a few days in a fantastic town . I have always wanted to stay at the Tiki ever since I visited when I was 19 years old . Lake George is a magical place for me . Being that we got into town on Mon it was quiet for the next few days . The rooms are not great but they are clean . Close to everything and at a decent price . Rooms are very quiet , beds comfortable and clean . We were on the first floor and the rooms did feel a little damp . Found out the Fridge was not working late the first night and they quickly replaced it with a working one . The rooms don't have the Tiki atmosphere we thought they would have . Is that cheesey ? Staff should be wearing Hawaiian shirts as well . But oh well it is a decent place to stay and we would/will stay again .

Room Tip: Better to stay on an upper floor .

Basic value hotel in good location (,8 miles from the main stretch of shopping and restaurants). It is in the same catagory as a Holiday Inn or Comfort Inn, There are certainly better hotels and resorts to stay in on Lake George, but I found this one to be a good value without being too sketchy.

Rooms were basic and older but clean and comfortable. Two floors, everything is walkout so whenever someone's kids are loud, you hear them. There is no noise buffer. Basic tv, coffee maker, small fridge, safe with closet. Indoor/outdoor pool and Polynesian dinner shows in July and August (we stayed in May 2014).

Lots of young families stayed here.
The only complaint we has was our tile floor was wet 24/7 and we never found a leak anywhere (we checked the A/C unit, fridge, bathroom). For this reason, I would not recommend it to anyone with mobility issues who could potentially fall.

A quick note about the waterfront area; parking fees are until midnight, is cash only, and they do not take $20 bills or give you change if you pay $10 and only want to stay an hour. Try to get small bills for parking unless you are staying at the waterfront area for several hours.

Room Tip: Any rooms near the parking area will be loud. Some folks could not figure out how to turn off their...

This motel is absolutely disgusting! As soon as we walked onto our floor- the entire hallway had a very strong mold odor. Our room also smelled of mold- I called to see if there was another room available and unfortunately there was not. There are no windows in the room- only sliding glass doors without screens. We tried to air out the room the best we could, but we still all work up sick the next morning. There is mold growing all over the place in this hotel- See pictures. Additionally, this hotel is outdated and dingy- I will never be coming here again.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 152- the entire hallway is moldy- if you want to stay at this hotel, see if you can g...

The rooms themselves are nice except for the lack of carpeting .They have stone floors which are VERY cold . The bathroom fan sounds like a jet taking off. The water pressure is very low and the hot water is warm at best . Bedding is good with REAL pillows . The website is misleading . The indoor pool is not easily gotten to . It is only accessible through the front lobby , down a flight of stairs and through several turns and corridors . On rainy night if you want to watch TV , there is only basic cable no premium channels as is ADVERTISED on their web site. When I asked about that , they said it was just recent and to expensive . Several Other hotels in this price range have premium channels . As of the last few days , they have still NOT corrected their web site .
