We've been here the past 2 years during the lacrosse tournament. The food and beer are very good. There are 3 floors and outdoor seating so hopefully you can find a spot you're happy with.

We took a few friends to this place who had never experienced the Pub. We went early, put our names in, and went down to bar on the first floor where they have a swag shop and a brand-new fusball table.

As per usual, right before we got another beer our beacon lit up and we were sat in a high-top table. The service was a bit slow at first, but it picked up once the orders were taken. The pulled pork is really good. The only dish never really desired was the maple turkey sandwich. The broccoli cole slaw is a bit different.

Overall, it's a great atmosphere and a great experience. They definitely do things well here.

My boyfriend and I stopped in after visiting the wild center in Tupper Lake. We went to the second floor and asked to be seated outside. I went to use the lady's room, got back, my boyfriend used the men's room and got back then another 5 minutes passed before anyone even approached us. We werent in a hurry so it wasnt a problem but thought it was a little rude that the wait staff walking by didnt even ask if we'd been helped. Finally the waiter came over and we got two Ubu's. The beer is brewed on site and we love it! We got an olive plate as an appetizer and the pork belly flatbread. In the description the pork belly sounded flavorful and exotic but in reality, we didnt even distinguish the flavor on the pizza. Otherwise, it was a very good dish. The sauce was well worth it! When we were given the bill our waiter said we qualified to spin the gift wheel in the shop downstairs. We won a free pint glass and purchased two more. We really love this brewery and understand that it was a busy day. We still had a good experience and our waiter was funny and got our food to us very quickly.

Having never climbed a high peak before and doing 2 this day having the promise of a great meal afterwards kept me going. The food was very good and plenty of it. Our party of 4 all had the Schultzy Burger plate and it was so good, messy to eat, but worth it. They also have a promotion of 10% off in their gift shop with your receipt and the hubs really wanted one of their biking jerseys. The price was $85.00 but they also had a promotion of spinning a wheel and seeing what other gift you got. We ended up with a $30.00 gift card so by the time all was said and done the jersey came to $52.63. What a truly nice waitstaff and the gift shop girl went out of her way to help us. I would encourage everyone who wants a casual but great meal to try this restaurant.

We ate at the Lake Placid Pub two nights in a row. We stayed at the Hampton Inn for a family vacation and the pub was right next door - very convenient and we were excited by the positive reviews. The pub has three different stories of food/bars as well as an outside area. There are some games for kids to play while you wait for a table. Our only complaint with the restaurant was our experience on our second night with one of the bartenders, Gary. Perhaps it was because of the lacrosse tournament in town which made everything very busy, but we sat at his bar and he was rude, short, and somewhat hostile to both my husband and myself. We actually ended up cashing out because of the vibe we got....which is something we've never done before at a bar. We still wanted to eat at the restaurant and so we moved downstairs and had a great time with Erik - as we had had the previous night with Steve. Both nights we were there, the food was excellent. We were disappointed that they ran out of the maple cheddar which limited our options (most food options had this cheese in it) but we enjoyed the brussel sprout flat breads and we had the sirloin in addition to some salads. All in all, this place has good food and great beer but I'm not sure we'd return given our experience.
