I remember Art Devlin as a commentator on ski jumping on Wide World of Sports. He was enthusiastic for a sport that few Americans knew much about. He evidently owned this hotel as a Lake Plasic native. His myriad of trophies are in the lounge where coffee, donuts and muffins are available each morning. You can also see a statute of Art at the Olympic Ski Jump venue. The hotel is very well maintained. You can get a very good view of the mountains and even the tops of the ski jumps. The pool looked lovely but we did not partake. The room is large and well maintained. There is no elevator for the second story if steps bother you. The property is well situated within easy walking distance of a number of eateries. Now the only reason I did not rate 5 stars was because the maid left our room wide open most of the day on our last night of our 3 night stay. There was nothing missing from our belongings and I guess if it is going to happen in any motel, this is likely one of the safer areas for that to happen. Luckily it did not spoil our stay.More
