I drove by this place during the day, and the sign awakened a craving for good Japanese food. We came back later for dinner around 7:00 p.m., and had an experience that fell short of the expectation. The staff were at the sushi counter eating their dinner, but quickly disappeared once we came in. We were the only guests. The sushi counter was practically empty, and the place looked dirty. I quickly lost my appetite for sushi, and opted for the Chicken Teriyaki. The chicken was overcooked and tough; the vegetables were burnt and unedable. We also ordered edamame - it was the smallest portion I have ever seen, and the beans looked old. I was very disappointed with the whole experience and would not return, no matter how much of a craving I had.
