The photo on this page does not go with the restaurant that we visited outside of Lake Placid. The one we dined at was a much older adirondack establishment. It is a bit outside of town but it's worth the short drive and the locals frequent there which is a good sign. We gave it a try and we were extremely pleased. The interior of the restaurant is quaint and cozy with knotty pine and a very nice fireplace The bar area is very welcoming and has a charm of its own. The bartender, owners and waitstaff are very friendly and accomodating. The food was delicious having ordered veal martini and chicken cascade. Both entrees came with salad, soup and potato and yes, warm rolls! Dessert was excellent! We will return on our next trip to Lake Placid!!! Great time!
