We decided to go "leaf peeking" up at Lake Placid NY because the colors around that area are beautiful in late September. I booked a reservation online at the Marriot Courtyard Lake Placid and it was everyting I had hoped for in a hotel. We had a very clean, comfortable, and good sized room. It had a nice TV, coffee service, internet connection, and phone along with comfortable beds, and a large, bright, clean bathroom. There was plenty of towels, cute little lotions and shampoo's and a hair dryer if we needed it. I loved the hotel pool and hot tub and it was very relaxing after a day of sightseeing around the Lake Placid area. We had breakfast at the hotel each morning and it was served in a pleasant area of the lobby and it was very. very, good. We stayed two nights and the bill was very reasonable for all that the hotel offered us. We are defintely going to book there again in September of next year, we will make this a yearly tradition!

We stayed at this hotel a few nights ago and were extremely impressed with it. It was spacious, clean and close to all of the tourist attractions in Lake Placid. The decor and layout were obviously the result of a lot of thought and feedback from customers. It was amazing! Upscale and roomy with very comfortable beds & pillows, etc. The lobby has modern amenities and there are business areas on some floors that enable you to hook up to the internet as well as a printer. Nothing seemed to be missing, except maybe a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Besides that minor detail, a GREAT room. If you have booked a room at this hotel, be prepared for a very pleasant experience. We were blown away, frankly and would definitely return.

This was our only Courtyard night in a weeklong trip. The rest were Fairfields. The staff was very helpful and friendly, but the value was just average for a Courtyard. I assume the higher rate was due to the location (Lake Placid) and there was no free breakfast with our rate. Oddly, the regular rack rate ($149/night) we were quoted online was cheaper than the AAA rate or other discounts we were eligible for. The hotel was beautiful and the room spacious with a jacuzzi tub by the bed.

This hotel is new with all the modern conveniences of a hotel in its class. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We had booked our room through Priceline at a much lower price. I believe the Priceline deal dictated why we were given a room on the ground floor near the pool and maintenance area, which should be an undesirable location. Not once in our three night stay did we hear any noise. The room was small, but the bed was very comfortable and that is more important to us. The cleaning staff took pride in their work and was very willing to do anything they could to improve our stay. The location of the hotel is on the edge of town and provides plenty of ample parking space.

This hotel has a very updated look, as though it either a fairly new building, or has been recently renovated. We had a standard room with a pullout sofa. The room itself was on the smaller side, but that didn't seem to matter because the room layout was done very well. The sofa and ottoman were very comfotable after a day of walking around Lake Placid. The bed was also very comfortable. Breakest served at the hotel was tasty and reasonably priced for the area. The hotel is a short distance from the Lake Placid "strip," which is actually kind of nice because the hotel seems to stay pretty quiet. Overall, a wonderful stay, and we're looking forward to a return trip this winter for skiing.
