very nice and clean hotel. Convenient to everything and within walking distance of sports venues, stores and many restaurants as well as lake. I had read a unsavory review and would have to say this people must have had their eyes closed! Would stay there again in a minute.

There is no question that this hotel is centrally located but if we were to come to LP for another hockey event, it would be my top choice. This is our 6th visit to LP for hockey tournaments and camps etc and have stayed at the Crowne Plaza, Golden Arrow and hotels at the end of the main stretch. While one will not have the view at the Crowne Plaza or the excellent food at the Golden Arrow, this Best Western provides the convenience of getting to the rinks quickly as it is literally across from the entrance to most of the locker rooms.

Our room was large and quiet and seem to be renovated not too long; the carpet is still clean and the towels still fluffy. It has a balcony with chairs and overlooks the parking lot and a little garden. A continental breakfast was included and it was adequate. Coffee was good unlike many establishments. Yes, the lady at the breakfast area is wonderful.

I made my reservation directly with the hotel after reading the comments on Trip Advisor. My reservation was handled professionally, although when I called, I was told their computer was down. They called me back and completed the reservation in 5-10 minutes. I was offered and accepted a different room when I reported to the front desk that the toilet was completely loose from the floor! Rooms were partially renovated, but the chain needs to finish the job to remain competitive, in my opinion.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The breakfast was great! The lady in charge of the food did a wonderful job keeping everything clean and full of yummy food. We were very pleased with the staff. Our housekeeper even made a swan with a towel!!! A very nice touch.

Lake Placid in the summer is very expensive. We had a great time being there for a family wedding but If it wasn't for the need to stay there for my sons wedding I wouldn't have gone there. The prices are not in my budget. The hotel was very friendly & clean.

Nothing special, nothing amazing. Comfortable, easy to walk to stores, sites and restaurants. The whole places needs updating but it was clean and the staff was friendly. Probably wouldn't go back and instead check out somewhere else.

My husband and I camp every summer in Lake Placid. Unfortunately, there was one night we could not get a camp site, so we stayed at this hotel. It was fine. It was clean and the room was comfortable. It is very centrally located to all Lake Placid activities, which are numerous: the horse shows, shops, Olympic sites, and restaurants are steps away from the hotel. The curb appeal of the hotel is very nice and there is an indoor pool. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hallways going to the rooms are looking a bit tired, but the room itself was clean and comfortable. My only gripe is that for a relatively average chain hotel, it is VERY expensive and for that reason, we probably would not stay there again.
