We stayed at Nile Porch for one night on our way from Mbale to Entebbe. Our friends had stayed there a few years ago when their children went rafting - rapids now sadly gone (perhaps along with Nile Porch's visitors)
The beds were comfortable (would have preferred a double in the middle of the room rather than a double against the wall and a single) and the shower warmish (fine on a hot day).
The staff were friendly and helpful but didn't always do as they said they would (eg early morning coffee in thermos offered but then was not available).
Dinner in Black Lantern was delicious - especially matoke chips!
Breakfast was less impressive, especially as we had to ask for HOT coffee.
The staff arranged an early bird watching boat trip which we thoroughly enjoyed but thought $50 each was rather expensive.
