This is the ideal lodge to end your adventurous trip through Uganda.
It's paradise and heaven on an island in the Nile, the concept is really outstanding and exceeds
your very best expectations! The food and service are excellent.
We were lucky to spend 2 nights at this marvelous island lodge.
We would also recommend everyone to do the nostalgic steam-powered cruise on the Nile with
the old original "African Queen" river boat, an amazing and unique experience!
At the end of our stay, Manager Glenn remarked that our rented Landcruiser 4x4 had a flat tyre
which he decided to fix immediately as an extra service...,
the most outstanding hospitality, highly recommended!

Wildwater Lodge is a very beautiful place that manages to combine tranquility with the roar of the rapids in which it is located. The accommodation was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent.

Its not cheap, but for a very special break its well worth it.

Highly recommended.

Basically i loved this place. Best rooms i have ever been in....huge, amazing views, comfortable seats, HUGE bathroom and shower and a bathtub on the outside terrace....... It was paradise!

The lodge was great, large and comfortable.

Manager Godfrey was excellent, and the food was very good.

The view over the rapids is WOW.

Only downside is the noise from the rapids is loud at night..... Take earplugs..... Or you can request the rooms on the "quiet side" which dont have rapids view but they overlook the river and still very lovely views.

Perfect place to chill out after a busy week or escape to for the weekend.

I wish i had booked three nights here.

Enjoyed the little boat transfer to lodge.... It was fun and the boat staff were really great. Made us laugh all the way.

Room Tip: If you sleep light as for a quiet side room as the ones over the rapids are noisy or take ear plugs.

Thank you so much for your lovely review and I am taking note on the 'earplugs' when sleeping by the rapids as it is loud and not everyone would be able to sleep.

We often say that 2 nights is not long enough so it just means you will need to come back and stay another 3 nights with us.

have a wonderful day and thank you for taking the time to review us.

Warm regards

the place is all what the reviews talk about and more, I can honestly say I have never seen such beauty before, this kind of wild untamed one, the place is luxurious but in a different way, food was excellent, service was excellent, however the atmosphere is not for the faint hearted :), we stayed me and my wife for one night, the plan was two nights to celebrate our anniversary, I picked this place because of the excellent reviews on trip advisor and it actually lived to it, unfortunately my wife got tired on the check in night and we had to leave on the next day, I have to say that everyone specially Glen was helpful, caring and considerate, they refunded our second night, something which I didn't expect or even blame them if they didn't, during our only night stay, they did everything to make us feel comfortable
the place in the morning is majestic, at night after all the lights come off and the tent is completely closed is a little spooky,

Wildwaters is truly extraordinary. We celebrated our 10th anniversary there. Everything was perfect, from fresh passionfruit juice upon arrival to the bathtub on the deck to the chocolate chili shot for dessert! A magical place.

A very, very special place. I couldn't recommend it more. We stayed for 3 nights after a road trip around Uganda and it was the perfect end to a great trip. The rooms are fabulous (ask for one next to the fast rapids - you have to hear and see them to believe them!), the service was friendly and impeccable, the food exceptional and the setting was second to none. It really is a wonderful place; how we imagine Eden to be!

After an exhausting week in Uganda and Rwanda it was wonderful to end our stay and chill out at the amazing lodge. You can only access it by boat, and you need to ensure you arrive in daylight as a trip above the roaring rapids of the Nile in the dark would not be pleasant. It is on an island, and despite being quite rustic, the accommodation, service and food is of the very highest standard.

But there are plenty of hotels like that (perhaps not in Uganda) but what sets this hotel apart is its incredible position literally surrounded by swirling rapids. The experience of taking an outdoor path on our secluded verandah with the water gushing past is not one to be missed.

Room Tip: We had room 5 which was great. We didn't use it, but as well as the upper double, it has another...
