I stayed here with my friend and young son 1 night and was really happy. We stayed in many places while in Uganda, but Eden Rock had the largest bathroom of anywhere we stayed. The grounds were beautiful and it was very peaceful. We could hear monkeys in the trees and my son played with the local children. They had warm water and Wi-Fi and the food was yummy. I am in a wheelchair and staff were friendly and helpful.

The camping area was right next to the pool, the lawns green, plenty of trees to shade your tent and an awesome pool and lapa to spread out and relax.

We opted to upgrade for 2 nights and our room was really quaint.
2 enormous double beds with brightly coloured covers, warm blankets a thick white sheets. I slept like a baby

.A giant bathroom complete with a floor to ceiling shelf rack, clothes hangars and towels. The tap was a little too close to the hand basin, making it difficult to turn on and off and the shower was great once you figured it out. You had to turn on a switch in the bedroom and then adjust the various settings on the shower head.

The shower curtain instead of a door for the toilet was a little unusual.

Our house / room had a lovely patio complete with chairs and a table and a hedge for privacy. The units were all at least 10 meters apart, the layout was very pleasing and the gardens and walkways were well maintained and lush.

David the owner was very visible and encouraged guests to join him for drinks and a chat, which we did on 2 occasions.

The outdoor areas at Eden Rock were immaculate, and I thoroughly enjoyed being outside, admiring the view, the birdlife and the pool.

The pool was spotless, the water not too cold and sun-loungers, shade and refreshments readily available.

I would love to go back and spend more time exploring the Nile, the area and enjoying the relaxing atmosphere at Eden Rock.

Yes,I would most certainly stay there again.

We were welcomed by one of the staff members n the parking lot and he went on to give us a brief background by the place......surprisrised it has been ard for 15 yrs!!!!!

we were served our tasty and affordable meal after taking a tour of their nice artistically unique cottages. Surprise of the night was the proprietor of the resort joining us for dinner!!! Great chat with him

I would definately go back and this time to spend a night.

If you live in Kampala, and want a simple place to hang out over the weekend, Eden Rock is a very good choice.
Rooms are simple and clean. The food is surprisingly nice and the chef is very flexible when you order.
There is a very funny pooltable in L shape if you are into shooting some laid back pool. And there are a lot of other things to do in the neighbourhood like quad biking, walking or rafting.
There is a brand new pool and if you are lucky, the flight captain is around to tell tales by the campfire.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Nice garden setting. The room wasn't great, the toilet seat was on the floor next to the toilet and the shower tap was broken. The food took a long time to arrive, but was always delicious when it did. NRE bar over the road is good for a drink in the evening, but watch out for the guard dogs when you come back!

I've stayed in Eden Rocks both alone and with a fair sized group. I like the place, its got a nice bar if you have a group or as the other reviewer said you can wander across to NRE for some action. Recommended!

So, the pool is in progress, and the place will be amazing once it's complete. The chef is great. The hut style accommodations are very simple but work well. Although you may need to add an extra mattress to the bed - so check it out once you're shown to the room! Close to a busy backpacker spot but away from the noise. Would stay here for a second getaway. Jinja is a great spot to escape the busy pace of Kampala.
